If you think action was the only problem with SR, then you`re VERY WRONG.

Now,

How do you correct the Super-kid, bad characterization for Superman, the same old campy Lex Luthor from the 70`s and make Superman and Lois be together without making him a home-wrecker?

Answer: You start from scratch cause it is a lost cause.

You know guys, according to ScriptGirl, who is on MySpace and has reported on AICN, Orci and Kurtzman did write a draft for the sequel to Superman Returns. I asked her and that is what she told me. So that supports Showtime's info on the writers even more.

He can deliver on comic films.

He is on my short list of possible names which include Orci and Kurtzman, David Hayter and a couple long shots, David Goyer and Michele and Kieran Mulroney. There is also a possiblity that the studio is going with a novice screenwriter.

Ohh...now we are getting somewhere Show!

Hayter would be a solid choice, but I think he would need to be paired up with another writer. Perhaps Chris McQuarrie or maybe Orci? Very niiice!

Also you stated a novice screenwriter is a possibility....what writers that are in the industry currently would you consider the novice type?

And is that draft a possibility for the sequel?

Wait, what?

They were commisioned for an entire draft?

That's.. odd. Without an announcement, too?

It is. With all they're doing how will they find the time?

If they did write something i think it's more likely that they wrote an outline.

I honestly couldn't tell you. The guys over at AICN listen to her, so I don't know.

I don't know. It depends on how long it was written I guess. If it's true, that means that WB is being very secretive about this. They're probably a lot further along than we think, who knows, it's possible.

Yes, so would I. Jett said that the latest pitch details he heard included Brainiac and Lex. But he could be referring to the first pitch idea and didn't know about the second one that had Darkseid. Who knows.

I agree....I would think that most creative writers would love to take on the challenge of writing a GREAT story for MOS.

Most likely, Kurtzman and Orci have written an outline.

I mean, they've been working hard on the next Transformers film. Couldn't have much time, surely?

They are not still working on Transformers 2 if that is what you mean.

Well, they're on set. Attending to a few dialogue changes. I'm sure nothing huge.

It's not a case similar to Mike Dougherty and Dan Harris where they are doing draft after draft. They don't have much on the schedule coming up besides producer work.

Oh, I know. I was talking about before Transformers 2 was in production. Which was when rumors started circling that they were both involved. I didn't think they would have time to write an entire outline, work with Bryan (assuming he's met with them), and still turn in a first draft of Transformers 2 to Bay.

There wouldn't be a problem if that was true, since Kruger was also working on the script. I know what you're saying though.
