How many members of the audience? I know I felt sadness and regret for superman. Mainly cause he begged zod not to make him do something he clearly didn't want to do. And also cause at that moment by his own hand became the last kryptonian, extra poignant given how lonely and alone the story had grounded the the character in prior.
Speaking for myself though, not 'the audience'.

felt kinda bad seeing a hero ball his eyes out after saving the day, can't remember the last time i saw that.

So what emotions do you believe Superman was feeling, and what emotions did you feel?
