totally should be a period piece - bite into that nostalgia.

It can stand out too, plus, parents and adults will wan an see it i'm sure.

also, 80's movies are somewhat having a revival - i mean, look at IT, the vintage look rocked. Stranger things - no different.

Tap into the goonies, gremlins, karate kid and big trouble in little china vibe and you have a winner (which is what i feel Spiderman HC did in a way).

I like the 80s period piece idea. Also wouldn't mind if they started out in black and white (Sin City anyone?) with all red masks. Perhaps by the end of the movie they get their colored ones.
