Now that we have the actor, let me post my biggest concern.
Fight choreography. I can't stress how important this is going to be. Daredevil "should" be the most agile fighter we've seen on TV yet. Question is, how do you pull it off without seeming hokie? How do you pull it off without using any cgi? I watch Arrow, and I watch Nolan's Batman...and i think, they know how to fight, but they don't know how to Daredevil/Black Panther fight. There needs to be agility in the things Matt does and I have yet to see that portrayed well in film OR on tv.

I don't understand all the Michael C. Hall hate. The last couple seasons of Dexter didn't have the best writing but that has nothing to do with him as an actor.

Have they confirmed if Bullseye and Kingpin will actually appear in this?

Nope. There has been no mention of supporting characters or storyline other than the general synopsis that just came out (lawyer by day, superhero by night yadda yadda justice yadda blind.)

Having Daredevil as a 30 year old lawyer suits MCU much better than a 20 year old college student. |

I like Michael C. Hall as as actor but what made him such a fan favorite to play daredevil? seems sort of random, did he make comments on liking the character or something?

I wouldnt mind young Matts story being told through occassional flashbacks throughout the season (similar to ARROW but less frequent). Mature murdock stories will be the best.

Ginger, great actor and his role as Dexter shares some traits with the character of Daredevil. A couple of years ago I was actually on the Michael C. Hall bandwagon, but I'm excited to see what Charlie Cox can do.

He's a good actor with red hair and generically good superhero looks. I think that's just about it. I've personally never seen him as being a great fit for the role, but that's been irrelevant for a while since he's just gotten too damn old anyway.

This isn't 50 year old Murdock they have in the comics now. I still think we'll see the beginning of his time as Daredevil.

I think that Danny, Luke and Jessica will also be of similar age.

I'm fine with this casting choice, but I just can't help but think that if this guy had been announced as a DC character, there would be a ton of fanboy backlash over it. All the usual "Who the **** is this guy?" and "How come Marvel gets RDJ/Michael Douglas/Robert Redford and DC gets this pretty boy?" stuff. I realize that I can't prove this, but just being on these boards for a while, I feel like every Marvel casting announcement is met with high-fives and rejoicing, while the opposite is true for the other side.
Anyway, all that said, I hope Cox does well in this role. He certainly wasn't on anyone's radar, that's for sure. |

Thanks. Yeah, it just seems like the knee-jerk reactions run rampant when it comes to DC announcements. Now granted, at this point, Marvel does have a better track record overall, but often it seems like the DC actors aren't even given a chance by the fans.

I really don't see why.
Casting was very good in TDKT. Henry Cavill is generally agreed to be great as Superman. Hell, even the Green Lantern movie got Mark Strong as Sinestro right. |

You're not wrong, but I think the current knee-jerk reactions to DC casting have more to do with a lack of faith in the team making those decisions than a lack of faith in the actors themselves. And as you said, Marvel's track record, particularly when casting their leads, is working in their favor as well.

Cast of Smallville, Arrow , Flash, Gotham and Constantine are not bad either. I dunno.

And I haven't seen anyone get up in arms over their TV casting decisions, so I'm leaving their shows out of that statement.
