Yes! Just glad to hear Kingpin is apart of the series and not stuck with Spooder-Man at Sony. Spidey's got plenty of good villains.

I hope there is a spin-off movie now of DD.

And they can't keep Vincent D'Onfrio apart from everyone else in the MCU. He now has to face off, at least verbally, against other heavy weights such as RDJ or any of the other acclaimed actors. Can you imagine a scene of VD'O acting against people like that?

Or, how about this? If Cumberbatch were cast as Dr Strange, imagine VD'O acting opposite him in a scene! It would be like Sherlock Holmes acting against a character who was virtually like Holmes himself (Dt Goren).

Now, do people think that Vincent should actually put on even more weight than he already has? He was already getting quite fat in the last season of Criminal Intent.

I'm pleasantly surprised by this casting choice. It's a great one and really shows the ambition for this project.

D'Onofrio has gained a lot of weight over the years and, with a shaved head, looks pretty good already. That being said, do people think he'll gain more weight or go with prosthetics? I think they can be done convincingly and would probably be better for the actor.

I'm doubtful about prosthetics. If anything, they'll just film it creatively to make him look huge (not unlike the hobbits in LotR or Bane in TDKR). Which imo, will be just fine. The guy is big. And compared to 5' 10" 160lb Charlie Cox he's gonna look like a behemoth.

He's a better choice than Michael Clarke Duncan, that's for sure. How tall was MCD though? He had to be taller than Ben Affleck back then, who is also 6'4". But this time round, D'Onofrio should be fine, height-wise in comparison to Charlie Cox.

In fact, is there anyone else in the MCU who is 6'4"? Vincent could possibly be the tallest actor we've had so far.

This is making me super excited for these Netflix series. This is going to be a whole lot of Marvel goodness. I would love to see Dinorfrio have a cameo on AoS ahead of the premier of Daredevil.

C. Hemsworth and Idris Elba are 6' 3". So I doubt it

Chris Evans 6'
Jeff Bridges 6'1"
William Hurt 6'2"

OH Volstagg. Ray Stevenson is 6'4"

If Fisk is a businessman, surely he can come into conflict with Tony Stark at some point?

How is that disrespectful though? There are some actors today who are better than some classic actors from the past who are dead now.

Well, just to kinda put a wrench in the works... we can't be certain these mini-series will be set in the modern MCU. I'd be even more interested if it were the 70s and Fisk interacted with Howard Stark.

And perhaps young Tony

Spoiler!!! Click to Read!:

EHH? Okay lol, I'm gettin a little too far out the box here. Still, it's an intriguing concept no?

I thought it has already been established that DD will be set in the modern era MCU.

Do you think we'll see Kingpin in his iconic white jacket and purple pants? The clothes that Michael Clarke Duncan wore didn't really make him look that much like Fisk.

How much more weight should D'Onofrio put on for this role? He's already looking overweight, but now they would encourage him to be even more?

He's big enough already. You don't want to put him in dangerous territory. If anything, he should be building up muscle.
