That was simply superb in every way.

I enjoyed the verbal clash even more than when they physically fought.

I was a bit worried after the first episode that the writing this season wasn't going to be as strong. That went out the window after watching episodes two and three. That is as good as it gets in terms of depth and simply great character writing.
Plus...

giving us a hallway fight that actually tops the first in season one!!!! Holy crap. Adding the stairs was a masterful action choice.

I loved the little "laugh" he did when he showed the bikers that the gun was empty

This may have been my favorite episode of the three so far. I love the exchange of philosophy. It's not black and white on either side, but both sides are articulated very well. It's back and forth too. Really, the episode can be described as 2/3 philosophy. With the client, I like that he's been set up for two episodes as a somewhat scummy guy but ultimately trying to do the right thing and start again. This episode we find out he's kind of done something horrible in the past. By setting him up with an understanding of the good things but keeping the bad things off screen, it's creating a drama in the debate of Daredevil vs. Punisher. Most of all, I like that it's a debate. They're two sides of a coin, not the same side.

The fight at the end must be the one they described in the spoiler-free reviews. I don't think it's as good as last year, but it's still really good. There's a ferocity that keeps going and doesn't stop. I have no idea how they pulled it off. I loved it.

Five Stars.

This was one of the best episodes of the series and the one that showed me that Jon Bernthal is pitch perfect as Frank Castle. The stairway fight was phenomenal and a worthy successor to last year's hallway fight. The dialogue was exactly what I hoped for when Punisher was announced for this season. I'm in love with this episode. One of my favorite hours of television ever.

They should make one-take fight scenes a tradition on this show. They don't even need to make it feel authentic they can just 'cheat' the one take.

Also I think 'man who got hit my microwave' appears here, which is amusing.

I still think there was some cheats in this episode. There were a couple spots where they clearly could've cheated this being only one take.

The stairway fight was a lot of fun, but for many reasons, I think the season 1 fight was better. The new fight was more extensive and technically complicated, but the first fight had emotional resonance that the new one lacked. Plus, there were several very obvious cuts that took me out of the "one take" look they were going for. Still, it was a great sequence; better than most fights you see in tv.

This was one of my favorite episodes of any show ever. Just goes to show how great the tv format can be, because we got long amazing talks between Matt and frank, and then an incredible fight sequence. Personally I thought this fight was even better than the one from season 1. And I didn't think that could be topped. Bravo show runners!!

Agreed, while I admit some shots took me out of the scene, overall the Hallway Fight 2 really was extremely better than the first Hallway fight in my opinion.

I think it was better than how the comic handed it.Not only by actually putting a bullet in the gun, but having Daredevil get free and try to stop it made the scene even better in my opinion. Can we also talk about how awesome the Foggy and Clare interactions were! This whole episode really was the best one so far. Hopefully it gets better from here.

This "one-shot but not really" fight was BETTER than the hallway fight from season 1...BUT...it still lacked the impact that the first one had. I think the reason why was because it was so blatantly obvious that they were going "hey, look at this...we're one upping last season!" that it kind of took me out of the moment. It's like...when watching a movie, you don't really want to be reminded that you're watching a movie and that the events you see are scripted etc. But still...cool action scene.

Was that really an alternate choice? It was basically the same as not using the gun to stop Frank. Either way, the other guy is dead. It lets Matt free, though, I guess.

In Frank Miller's Daredevil (Good Guys Wear Red, don't know the issue number), Daredevil is faced with having to stop the Punisher and having the gun at his fingertips. He does in fact shoot him (he doesn't kill him, though, obviously). It was more powerful because the Punisher was shooting to miss Daredevil since DD's one of the good guys, but Daredevil knew it was the only way to stop him so he was willing to go beyond what the Punisher was willing to do. He shot him in the shoulder (which probably wouldn't have stopped the Frank Castle in the show).

I don't know if that was intentional, but, if it was, good catch (that's the issue I was talking about above for those who care).

Love the stairway fight. I was hoping that Frank would wake up in the elevator and join in.

It is TV-MA, and PG-13 ratings do allow for one F-bomb usually.
