This pilot was better in some parts and okay in others. I liked how the preserved how weird it is, yet I think that overrides the storytelling of the pilot. I feel like the weirdness was put in front of the story when it should have been the other way around. And things took too long to get going. Things that happened in the last half should have happened in the first half.

I liked the pilot and all the performances from the actors. But I'm still not sure this can work as a series

I see where you're coming from, but I think it's sort of to be expected. The comics had a fair few issues that were introspective character pieces. Have you read them?

it was good, a bit confusing since im not familiar with the comics other than by name. And the irish fellow was kinda hard to understand at times.

this **** was THE **** . i'm thinking this'll absolutely destroy the walking dead ( a show i find a bit overrated tbh )

i mean, it probably won't get as much ratings as that overhyped, redundant ass show that everyone is obsessed with, but i'm sure i'll prefer it over that.

Just watched it. LOVED it. I've only read a little bit of the comics so I'm not sure how much they are or aren't straying from them but regardless... This is one wild ride. I like all three of the main characters; can't wait to see more of them. It's batsh** crazy at times, but I think this is one of those shows where you just have to give yourself over to it and accept that it's twisted as f***. Annoying though that the second episode isn't airing for two weeks... If anything hurts the ratings, it'll be that. Dumb move by AMC.

I have not read the comics, so I had no expectations walking into this one.

That said, I found the whole style really confusing. Are they going for pulp? Is it supposed to be equal parts camp and drama? Object hurtles through what is quite obviously low-budget space, yet I need an obnoxiously large title card to tell me we're in OUTER SPACE? And that's followed up immediately by someone blowing up and then all this brooding drama. Then more camp. More brooding drama. And so on.

I guess I just don't know what they're going for here. I'll give it another episode or two to see if it coalesces into anything for me.

Tulip was great, her interaction with those kids was funny as hell. Cassidy was still the highlight for me. Gilgun is a great actor. It's crazy to think that ten years ago I saw portraying a young skinhead, now he's a crazy Irish vampire!

It was cool hearing Time of the Preacher during Jesse's first scene. The pilot felt uneven and dragging in some parts but overall, it looks promising. I like its strangeness of the 50's sci-fi opening and the open your heart scene near the end. I find it peculiar though that with all the gore in the show, they tamed down arseface's appearance.

I was anticipating a new Preacher episode this past Sunday and was disappointed to find out it will air this upcoming Sunday instead.

It's unfortunate that people are still not able to accept that, given that tv adaptations of written works have been happening for longer than I've been alive.
Just because something is adapted and changed doesn't make the result good.

I totally understand how things need to be changed when crossing over medias, what I don't understand is unnecessary changes. I could make a large list for Preacher but I'm willing to give the show a chance.
