So, to comic readers, that backstory for Eugene in this episode...that line up with the comic? Again, this being an adaptation, not like everything has to line up 100 percent with the source material, but I hear that this one is a point of contention between the show and comic.

It's substantially different from the comics. In the comics, Eugene was a sulky alienated teen who looked up to Kurt Cobain. When Kurt killed himself, Eugene followed his lead and tried to kill himself with a shotgun blast to the head.

Arseface's father was also very abusive, his mother was catatonic, he was bullied frequently, had one friend and got routinely rejected by girls. About the only decent thing in his life was music, so when Cobain blew his brains out it lead Arseface's friend to kill himself. With his only friend dead and nothing good in his life (so far as he saw it) the kid went ahead and followed suit.

This is a HUGE SPOILER. Although they may do it different in the show, and I highly recommend reading the book. But, seeings as you asked:

Spoiler!!! Click to Read!:
Jesse gets killed, and Genesis is released because their souls were bonded, sort of. There's a bit more to it of course, but I don't want to spoil anything that wasn't asked about.
