I concur. Though BL is a good media piece. And the fact that it's not fluffy like many other superhero series.

I'd like for them to keep it airing in January.

And I do hope they can get Icon on this show. Him and Rocket would be the perfect rivals to BL and Thunder.
He can be the Superman to BL's Batman.

S1 is now on Netflix. I'll finally have to sit down and watch this. I've been hearing good things about it, so I'm happy to be able to check it out.

Yeah that the sad part would have liked for the season to have lasted like Flash,Arrow and Supergirl but I guess to make the show work they cut it short.

I'm undecided. I want a full season, but I do rather enjoy a shorter season with less filler. 23 episodes of The Flash and Arrow seem 8 episodes too many. They always try to make the villain part of every episode and it falls flat.

I wish Flash, Arrow and Supergirl would cut their seasons down. Tighter story telling, way less filler.

Not going to happen. Arrow has a syndication dea with TNT which gives them bigger checks the more episodes they crank out. And every CW show has a similar deal with Netflix. Once a show hits a certain threshold, CW will squeeze as many episodes out of it as they can before the ratings drop to completely unsustainable levels.

And that's one of the reasons why so many have abandoned network tv programming. they renew crappy shows and pump out as many episodes as possible. at the very least, FX/HBO/NETFLIX/HULU/AMAZON tries for quality coinciding with $$$$

I mean, for the most part, season 1 of Flash was mostly filler, and that was quite enjoyable. Frankly, the more Flash has gone for serialized storytelling, the worse it has gone. And given how the first season has played out, I don't think Black Lightning would be hurt by a larger episode order.

The more The Flash has gone for repetitive serialized storytelling, the worse it has gone. That's how the show managed to peak faster than Arrow.

As much as I would love that, that probably won't happen.

At the very least, they should do what Gotham does and split a season into two arcs.

Arrow only really did that whole corrupt mentor thing in s2, albeit the twist was more he survived & is back for blood.

I haven't been watching Black Lightning, so I can't say for sure what the formula is or would be this time. I'm going to guess that Team BL is bound to get too many members and overly enthusiastic IT tech support.

Well, due to the lack of black superheroes, I wouldn't expect the cast to get too big.
