Chris, I like the effort you're putting into your drawings. You definately have a lot of creativity. But one thing you need to work on is bringing some perspective to your figures. They're lookin very flat. One book that I recommend reading is Andrew Loomis - Drawing the head and hands. This should help you immensely with your faces. It breaks down the planes of the face and shows you just how to bring a 3d quality to them. Give it a try.

I run into those scanner size issues myself; a lot. The Spidey vs. Ock, for example, if I could've fit the whole thing on there you would know it takes place on the train.
