The only detail regarding the clip I could find was that it featured Klaue.

The only new information that seemed to be revealed is that Okoye's markings signify her rank which is why she's the only Dora Milaje shown with the markings on her head so far.

So Killmonger will be involved in the museum heist scene, it makes since with Nabiyah being there too. Guess those artifacts must be important.

If Marvel does what they usually do then the next trailer should be out next month, possibly during nycc with the Infinity War trailer the following month.

They will probably release the IW maybe this week. MAYBE.

I believe the Black Panther trailer will be out close to when Thor Ragnarok is going to be released which is might be either at the end of October or the the beginning of November.

Considering they dropped the teaser early June, I wouldn't be surprised to see it released within the first two weeks of Oct. Keep in mind, the teaser was out for nearly a month before the release of Spidey.

Infinity War will probably be the trailer attached to Coco or The Last Jedi. I think between middle Nov to early Dec.

They won't wait until mid Nov (let alone early Dec) for A:IW. Their average tends to be 6 months before U.S. release date (give or take a week or two). GIven that Thor: Rag comes out at almost eactly the 6 month mark to A:IW? It's likely they'll release it in time to be attached to Thor: Rag.

For BP's 2nd trailer, it's harder to guess since the first trailer dropped so incredibly early from what many of us keeping track of trailer drop dates expected (like 2 1/2 months before what their normal/average time frame has been)... so whether they do what they normally do (and drop Trailer2 about 3 to 3 1/2 months after first trailer drop - which would be right about now/this week for the 3 1/2 month window, since we're already past the 3 month window) or wait until Thor: Rag. is closer? Hard to say. If they don't drop trailer two within the next week or two, I do think it'll drop some time in October/in time to be attached to Thor: Rag. as well.

Well, this is the first time they are releasing a film in the Winter season so they have to adjust accordingly. Keep in mind, they didn't release the CW teaser until the end of Nov '15 and that film debuted in May of the next year. Infinity War is the one film of theirs that practically sells itself. If they attach it to what will be the biggest film of the year(The Last Jedi), that's practically it.

I also can see them wanting to give BP and IW space to breath. If they drop the BP trailer in Oct, then IW will definitely premiere sometime in Nov or Dec.

Quote:
The trailer opens with King T’Challa (Chadwick Boseman) in a black tailored suit walking into a red-carpeted casino with a Dora Milaje (the special all-female Wakandan royal security force) on each arm—Nakia (Lupita Nyong’o) and Okoye (Danai Gurira). They’re scoping out the place, talking through hidden microphones, look ing for mercenary Ulysses Klaue (Andy Serkis).

Klaue arrives with about 10 goons and starts bragging about what’s in his pants (literally) and trying to negotiate a deal with Agent Everett K. Ross (Martin Freeman) for a briefcase holding a small sample of an ore called “Vibranium.” One of his goons notices the Dora Milaje, the deal goes bad, bullets start flying and everybody was kung fu fighting.

The action is kinetic, like a mixture of Coogler’s fight scenes from Creed and the manic bullet ballets from Kingsman movies. Okoye and Nakia pull out spears and start fighting off henchmen, and T’Challa is diving over tables while Klaue is shooting at Ross, T’Challa and everyone else to make his escape. T’Challa effortlessly makes a 20-foot leap into the upper balcony to chase after Klaue only to have to dodge a slew of lasers as Klaue’s hand transforms into a cannon of some kind. Then the scene ends.

In the next scene, T’Challa is seen running through brightly lit city streets chasing an SUV. As he runs, his formal casino wear morphs around his body, seamlessly changing him into the Black Panther costume.

Black Panther jumps on top of the fleeing SUV while you see Okoye pull out a gigantic golden spear and throw it in front of the vehicle where it props up like a light post. The car smashes full speed into the spear. The spear holds its ground as the car flips over, and as it does, you see Black Panther leap from the top of the roof of the car, onto a nearby building, where he begins to run up the side—like Spider-Man, but with better coordination.

Next you see Erik Killmonger (Michael B. Jordan) and T’Challa prepare to battle in the sacred falls that have been shown in previous trailers. It’s clear that in the movie, King T’Challa will be challenged several times for leadership of Wakanda in ritual combat.

As T’Challa and Killmonger square off, you see a red battle suit similar to Black Panther’s form around Killmonger, and he leaps at the king. They fight, kicking, punching and swinging, before falling off a waterfall together, fighting all the way down into the cloudy waters below.

In what appears to be another leadership challenge, M’Baku (Winston Duke), the leader of the White Gorilla Cult, steps out of a cave into the sacred lake to battle T’Challa. He’s much larger than Wakanda’s king and wears a large mask that resembles an ape.

After that, there are a series of quick scenes showing Black Panther dropping out of a airplane, a secret lab full of weapons and Black Panther suits being tested, more butt-kicking, and Michael B. Jordan scowling at T’Challa.

When the trailer ended, the room cheered, once we stopped wiping tears of absolute joy from our eyes. The panel seemed legitimately thrilled with their work: Danai Gurira smiled like a kid who knows she’s going to win the science fair, and Coogler was amped to answer questions.

First I've heard of red, but maybe he misspoke or saw the wrong thing. Most say its gold.

I'm really pumped for BP. I really hope we get a trailer this week but I know that's not going to happen. I really think it'll come out mid-late October. It just makes sense.

Maybe it's gold with some red in it? I don't see how anyone could confuse those colors.

Quote:
ON BUILDING THE WORLD OF WAKANDA:

It was a challenge for us. For Ryan and I we saw the opportunity to create something with Marvel that they haven't done. You know, that's the way I looked at how I would utilize the money is I had more of an opportunity to bring place to it. And be more detailed about it. And because it wasn't a place that existed or had really been defined in any other film -- I'm talking about Wakanda -- we could really play with that and we wanted to do a lot of practical builds. We didn't really want to use a lot of blue screen. And that's also where the money went.

ON BUILDING REAL SETS INSTEAD OF RELYING ON VISUAL EFFECTS:

We had a lot of extensions. I would build so far and then I would extend. We tried not to put the VFX in front. Pretty much every single set is practical and then the bigger world outside of that would become an extension. It was a lot about making sure that those VFX were in the background. And that it was tactile and tangible and the actors had things to act off of and could sit in and you know that's really where it went. It was to creating all of these builds. And even some of the exterior stuff that you see in the trailer, we built. You know the waterfall? We built it. And it was an extension then because it was really tall. I mean it was huge. But it was fantastic to have that water being real being live being there and people wading in it all day everyday and fighting in it and doing the thing that they're doing and having the extras in their beautiful costumes by Ruth Carter up on the set. It was just breathtaking and when you see something like that for the first time that you did, that you worked on for months, it was just... it just took my breath away.

ON THE RESPONSIBILITY OF BUILDING A UTOPIAN AFRICAN WORLD:

It's the first time I actually did a world building on that. And it was a lot of research. I mean we went to Africa. I was there for quite some time. Ryan and the producers joined. And we traveled extensively for a few weeks. And it was a lot of research. It was talking to people, taking pictures of everything and connecting with... we were in South Africa mainly... connecting with it, with the motherland. And understanding all of the tradition, all the different tribes, how they responded to each other, what things were important in their lives. That was part of building that world and then pushing it all into the future so for me it was always understanding that Wakanda had been there for 10,000 years and then what does it look like now. And there was a lot of discussion because it was supposed to be a place that was never colonized too. So what does that look like? There was a lot of discussion about that and how we make that relevant.

ON THE CHALLENGES IN REPRESENTING WHAT AFRICA COULD BE IF IT WEREN'T COLONIZED:

It's a huge thing. And it was daunting because I felt a lot of responsibility to get it right. And also to create Wakanda, create its own feel and look, outside of... because over time it has morphed. All of these tribes came together, and while they're individual tribes, they've created this country, so in a sense they are one. I hope people could look at it and really feel, like, Okay, yeah, this feels good, this feels right. It doesn't feel false in some way and that this could have been what happened. Of course, you know, vibranium helps.

ON ENSURING AUTHENTICITY IN HER WORK WITH EACH DIRECTOR SHE WORKS WITH:

The really important thing to me as a designer is that for every director that I work with -- because they're all different -- that I am doing a service to their vision. I have to change who I am and what I'm looking for. I have my aesthetic and I have certain things that I do and colors that I work with. So it's important for me to be able to connect the work I do with Nicholas [Nicolas Winding Refn] will be different than anything else that I've done. ... We want to kind of do maybe a punk rock film noir Los Angeles ... Nick Refn style.

ON GETTING THE CALL TO WORK ON "LEMONADE":

Well I had done an "Apple - The App Effect" for Apple commercial and I had done a Nike commercial in Tampa with a director and he had used the same cinematographer who was working with Kahlil Joseph (the director of "Lemonade") and since they were going to New Orleans he was Chayse Irvin, who was the cinematographer, was like, Hey, I worked with this production designer Hannah Beachler, and Kahlil, he knew Ryan (Coogler) so he reached out to Ryan and was like, Oh, you know I want to bring Hannah on. So they called me.

I actually just got done with "Moonlight." I just got home and I was kind of tired. So the first time I was like, You know, I'm not available. And then I thought about it because I really didn't know who the singer was. They didn't tell me. And I was like, I'm not available, you know. And then a week went by and I thought, Oh man, you know, I would like to go down. ... And then I thought, Well that went by. And then they called me the next week and I jumped on it as fast as possible. ... I didn't know until I literally walked in and talked to Kahlil and he told me [that it was Beyonce]. ... I'm glad I said yes.
