I think it's probably because there really aren't that many undecided voters this time around. Both candidates are very polarizing.

I don't think a reputable polling firm like Rasmussen would do something that would tarnish the reputation they have worked for over the years. Where most polling firms over poll Dems...they do not, which is probably the reason for the difference you see. I've worked with Rasmussen before through the polling firm I worked with in Dallas....they don't play around. Also, you need to again, make sure they are polling "likely voters" or "registered voters" Rasmussen usually polls likely voters...which really they all should. Gallup does its fair share of polling likely voters as well. Other polls like the ABC polls, NBC polls, etc...usually poll registered voters simply because they are lazy....and it is not as true of a poll....ever.
