Not crazy when you look at the care, effort, confidence, and product Marvel put out compared to WB.

Is anyone tired of talking about JL? Like the Box Office, what should've been done, Snyder's cut, Whedon, reshoots etc. All of it has been exhausting. I was watching Collider today and Harloff ignored the mailbag question about JL because it's all anyone wants to talk about and he wants to talk about how much he enjoyed The Disaster Artist instead. I'm actually glad we have a year long break between DC films, the drama is too much for another DC film to come out right now.

I personally didn't participate in these discussion on the JL board. This thread doesn't talk exclusively about JL, so it's nice. I personally got tired of these talks in 2016.

Anybody else see the CW Crisis on Earth X event? I really liked it! The spoiler realates to this thread topic so this comment isn't off topic.

Martin Stein's death and funeral made me tear up. The emotion was earned there, unlike with Superman's death in the DCEU.

Lol they aren't going to scrap shows that make them a billion dollars every season (that's a confirmed number btw). Plus there's a 5th show on the way with Black Lightning and a 6th that's in the early stages of development (Project 13).

The figure refers to all DC tv shows, I think. But the CW ones are extremely successful. Far more so than the movie division.

One wonders if Justice League would have been more successful if they had folded in the TV characters...

So... basically DC TV shows are more profitable than DC movies?

Oh god yes. Especially with JL dying a death like it is.

Somebody at WB must be looking at the disparity, and wondering why it’s happening.

It’s probably got a lot to do with the fact that the people on the TV shows are bigger fans of the source material than those running the movies.

I said the same thing in another thread. The hype for IW trailer easily doubles hype for the JL trailer. WB completely messed up DCFU by not building it up slowly and connecting Arrow..........hear me out. The shows are more faithful than the movies plus they really could have saved Flash for the movies and did like Marvel and use street level heroes for tv and really super powered heroes for the big screen.

.
And there is the problem. WB do have people that know the source material but you have these execs who have no clue on how to run the material and it's all over the place.

Eh, I'm basically sick of arguing over the subjective quality of each DCEU film. There's no accounting for taste and it rarely leads to a productive discussion.

But in regards to the business/production side of things? I'm definitely not sick of it. At least not yet. Failures of this magnitude don't come around that often and as a fan who saw it coming years ago, I'm still morbidly fascinated with how this whole thing turned out.

I hope it looks more exciting than the trailer for New Mutants and Deadpool 2.

Seriously, the CGI difference between Steppenwolf and Thanos makes it looks like JL was made 15 years ago. Just further embarrassment for WB.

Random observation: Do I just have Star Wars on the brain, or does Vision's scream sound like Luke Skywalker in ESB?
