Captain America makes a great template for Batman. I love TDK costume but I hope they do something different with the next set of movies and I would really like to seem them go the cap route. The problem with Captain America's suit is i think its more fashion than function. And a suit like that would possibly produce the worst cowl ever to go along with it. I think they have to work from the last suit. And plus that costume has more grey in it than Batman in the new 52.

I think the idea of majority of Batman's costume staying black helps him blend into the shadows. The only thing they should incorporate is the white glowing lenses in the cowl. And also, that costume would make Batman look more like an acrobat, its something I'd expect Robin or Nightwing to wear.

I think its going to be very hard for future Batman films. Just look at The Amazing Spider-Man. They pretty much didn't explain anything because it was resting on the previous trilogy. The only thing it showed was web-shooters. I think Batman Begins and The Dark Knight really set the bar for the suit, and you could only really add to it to make it better. The only thing that was for fashion on them suits was the ears and the symbol. Everything else had a function, heck even the ears did.

Whats the function of that suit? Remember Batman's suit prevents him from sustaining serious injuries easily.

Another thing that bugs me is The Man of Steel and which looks to be a start of the DC cinematic universe has been inspired by the Dark Knight's success. To take away that Batman, and replace him with another type of Batman is ridicules. People complain about him not being the worlds best detective, or the best acrobat, but that was all in comic book world. Within our reality, a guy like Nolan's Batman to surface in our world would be absolutely extraordinary.

On the note of the underwear, i agree. Getting rid of it was a move i had been waiting for, for years.
