Is there an artist/artists who's voice you just fell in love with the first time you heard them?
For me, it would be Yukimi Nagano; and as of this moment, Kimbra.

Meg & Dia. I'm a huge sucker for female singers/guitarists. Three consecutive singles and I stuck with their sound for quite a while.

I feel the same as you PyroChamber on Nagano. I'm sure there's plenty more, but the other artist I can think of right now is just Natasha Khan, aka Bat for Lashes.

Rammstein. First time I heard it my brain exploded and I've been a diehard fan ever since. They had the song Engel on the Mortal Kombat Annihilation soundtrack, it was pretty rockin'. KoRn was another band I heard the first time and I was sold. Could not get enough.

Black Label Society, Gov't Mule and Halestorm to name a few. Then you have a band like Kiss where I don't remember ever not loving them but then again thats what happens when you've really have been listening to a band your whole life.

Bad Brains. Quickness was my first album and from then on I listened to them every day for YEARS; rock for light, i against i, bad brains live, bad brains: attitude- the roir sessions all of it.
and Portishead absolutley transfixed me, i was love struck by beth gibbons. |

Brandon Flowers/The Killers, Linkin Park (omg angst!), Bjork, Morrisey - I can actually remember the moments I first heard their music and thinking WTF I MUST OWN YOU.

Michael Bublé. I'm not normally a big fan of big band or jazz, but I'm really getting into it after listening to him.

They've had me since Mr. Brightside. "Human" - its too upbeat for me (lol?) but lyrically I love it. Like most music, its all subject to interpretation. 'are we human or are we dancer' - are we our own person or are we puppets Quote:

^ Have to agree with Black Keys and White Stripes. Especially Black Keys.

Just last week this happened to me. Just one listen to this one song from Ayreon has me completely sold on this criminally ignored prog metal outfit.
