Default A.x.l.

Haven't heard of this before the trailer (just released a few hours ago). Probably not a theater-worthy experience but it looks okay-ish if you're into this sort of story or style.

Global Road Entertainment has released the trailer for their upcoming sci-fi family adventure film A.X.L. You can check out the official A.X.L. trailer in the player below!

In the vein of classic ’80s family movies Short Circuit and Flight of the Navigator, A.X.L. is a new adventure about a down-on-his luck teenage bike rider, Miles (Alex Neustaedter), who stumbles upon an advanced, robotic, military dog named A.X.L. Endowed with next-generation artificial intelligence but with the heart of a dog, A.X.L. forms an emotional bond with Miles, much to the chagrin of the rogue military scientists who created A.X.L. and would do anything to retrieve him. Knowing what is at stake if A.X.L. gets captured, Miles teams up with his smart, resourceful crush, Sara (BeckyG), to protect his new best friend on a timeless, epic adventure for the whole family.

The film was written and directed by Oliver Daly (Miles). A.X.L. stars Alex Neustaedter (Colony, Ithaca), Becky G (Power Rangers, Gnome Alone), and Alex MacNicoll (Transparent, 13 Reasons Why).

A.X.L. will premiere in theaters on August 24, 2018.

Yeah, I think I will pass.

"It's funny, isn't it? A life of truth, justice and the American, military, capitalist way. In the end, you die on the moon, wondering if your bowels will let go. And tomorrow, the world will go on like nothing happened. Dragged kicking and screaming to a better day." Manchester Black - Superman vs The Elite

So it's...Short Circuit with millennials and a CGI budget?

LOL Got the trailer pop-up , no sound or idea what I was looking at. Saw Becky G. and thought - am I watching a direct to TV Power Rangers movie sequel, with Tommy getting some new mini-Zord?

Seems super generic yet charming, innocuous family/kids movie, I probably would have loved as a little kid. Nothing to criticize here.
And no explosions in the trailer, for that I give it credit alone.
Wish it the best.

Looks like it, pretty much.

Although now I really want a Dynomutt Movie.

I'll just pretend I just saw their origin, and this kid somehow becomes a billionaire who will one day moonlight as the Blue Falcon.

They really should do Dynomutt.

If I had asked people what they wanted, they would have said faster horses. - Henry Ford
