Grant has been in various movies, but don't remember any that centered around him. So this is interesting.

Love the director. Love the time period. I am definitely in.

I'm definitely interested in this. I have liked most of Spielberg's historical films. Grant is a figure who I've thought has warranted a proper top level biopic for a lont time. Certainly one of the more interesting figures in American history.

Leonardo DiCaprio wouldn't be the first guy I picture as Grant, but I would have said the same thing about Martin Sheen as Robert E Lee and I ended up really liking his portrayal.

I’m having trouble picturing and hearing Leo as Grant.

He was the youngest prez of that time so I'm sure that'll help.

Not gonna lie, I wish this was a direct sequel to Lincoln with as many cast members returning as possible (Jared Harris as Grant.)

DiCaprio is a few months older than Grant was at Appomattox.

There is a bit of a difference between 1860s, 43 and 2010s Hollywood Star, 43.

I hope this is not like Lincoln. I love period dramas, but Lincoln was just too boring for me.

But I love Spielberg and I love Leo, so I'm in!

Isn't he also lined up to play Teddy Roosevelt with Scorsese?

Won't get made. Look at the two people involved and then look at the number of movies they're attached to.

People in Hollywood do this all the time, having multiple things lined up because you have to assume most of these things won't go into production. It's good to have a lot of things cooking at once.

We in the normal world should take a hint from that. Have a day job but always have a few side hustles or something on the burner.
