Default Trailers that really did show the whole movie

It's a common complaint these days, trailers that supposedly spoil the whole movie in question.
What trailer campaigns really did that, and left next to nothing to get surprised by?

Batman v Superman definitely counts. Those trailers just couldn't stop showing every single money shot. All Wonder Woman stuff, Doomsday, warehouse fight etc.

Age of Ultron's trailers gave away practically everything. For God knows what reason, the biggest kept secret of that movie was Hawkeye's family. In hindsight, they really could have kept the Hulkbuster out of the trailers.

BvS is the biggest offender.

Yeah, BvS didn't leave a single surprise for the movie save for the Justice League tease, which wasn't even that impressive anyway. They shouldn't have shown anything past the initial Batman vs. Superman fight in the trailers. It would have been more enjoyable to see Wonder Woman's entrance without it being spoiled in a trailer first.

The BvS trailer with Doomsday was literally a condensed version of the movie.

There are countless examples, but one that really bugged me in recent years was How To Train Your Dragon 2. Having Hiccup's mother appear in the film was obviously set up to be a really cool twist, but they just out and out showed it in the trailer for no reason. Like, what did revealing that in the trailer do to help sell the film? People were going to go see it anyway based on the strength of the first movie, and all the other cool stuff going on in the trailer.

Quarantine spoiled the end of the movie in the trailers.

Granted it was a terrible movie, but Terminator Genesis (they spelled it weird) gave away the central plot twist in the first ****ing trailer. The director was apparently annoyed that they did that without his approval.

Good one! They also did that for Terminator Salvation. I mean I get it's a dumb action movie and you gotta sell tickets, but surely planting some suspense in the audience's collective brain would be better than outright ruining the twist?

Like, show some other character's reactions to the shocking moment or something. Anything but revealing the movie's one big surprise in the friggin' previews.

I despise that complaint because it usually does not hold water; and knowing that something is in a film doesn't mean you know the entire context of why how and how it will impact the movie.
The only trailers I think actually did spoil the movie was BvS, where Doomsdays reveal told is Supes will die and this is how they all get together, and Terminator Genisys.

The Recruit trailer, a film with Al Pacino & Colin Farrell is horrendous for this...

Snake Eyes, a movie from 98, with Nicolas Cage, Gary Sinise and that introduced Carla Gugino in her first big role.
It was the biggest offender. Everyone talked about it, how the trailer showed the all movie.

There was a time when trailers were actually pieces of art in their own right, now they are just things to ruin movies.
And worst even is when they release clips and all that crap.
That's why i only watch one trailer or two, and never one single clip.

Anyone remember this movie with Robert De Niro, Edward Norton, Marlon Brando and Angela Basset called The Score? If you don't remember it, you'd be forgiven because with a cast that good, the movie should have been about 100 times better. Anyway, the trailers didn't necessarily show the whole movie but they spoiled the

I remember the Score. I never saw the trailer.

I recently saw the trailer that played for Superman III. It shows the supercomputer blowing up and Superman shaking hands with Gus.

Obviously, which is why everyone else who responded so far read the first post -as opposed to taking the thread title literally

I saw it recently, loved that movie.
My favorite thought is when Vito Corleone talks to Vito Colrleone.

The Lion King trailer showed pretty much the whole plot-including Ghost Mufasa.
