In my live action Batman movies marathon (BvS not included), I entered the realm of Joel Schumacher and am now watching Batman Forever.
I'll tell you I find it enjoyable, but I will not go out of my way and say "It's not a bad movie", instead I'll quote one Rowsdower!: "This movie is a train-wreck"

Haha glad I could be of assistance. And yes, it is indeed a trainwreck. Or maybe a mid-air collision.

I'm inclined to saying it is the latter.
I can estimate the average of 17 questions per minute this movie made me ask.

I still haven't seen Silence, but I am very much looking forward to it!

My favorite film of 2016 was The Nice Guys.

I loved The Nice Guys, especially Crowe. I hope he does more comedies. I thought The Nice Guys succeeded where Inherent Vice failed.

What's my unpopular film related opinion? Well, the only one I can think of now is that American Honey was purely pretentious, long-winded trash that could have been a half-decent movie had half of it's whopping 3-hour runtime been cut. But no! Instead we're forced to sit through scenes that seem to happen in either pairs or threes, meaning that when you've seen the scene once already, prepare to see it at least one more time in a slightly different context, and it's just awful. It's literally one of the worst films I've ever had the misfortune of seeing in my life. The acting's actually really great throughout and the cinematography is excellent, but that doesn't make-up for these shallow characters that we're forced to endure for 3-BLASTED-HOURS! Ironically, the writer/director, Andrea Arnold, also made one of my favourite movies of all-time as well (Fish Tank, a fantastic film featuring one of Michael Fassbender's finest performances).

You mean like how it was actually entertaining and full of good performances instead of pretentious bullsh** trying way too hard to win Joaquin Phoenix an Oscar? I agree!

Finally got to watch Star Wars Rogue One. While I admit, I'm not as big of a Star Wars fan and many here; I have always overall enjoyed the films.
However, outside of the most epic Darth Vader scene and cool ending with cgi yound Carrie Fisher, I found the movie to be boring. There were some very cool scenes but after all the hype I read and heard and finally got to see it I was disappointed a bit and was seriously bored with the first 2/3 of the film, nearly fell asleep.

I fail to see how those two films aimed to be the same thing?

As in films that kinda try to emulate The Long Goodbye maybe? Or The Big Lebowski. But I might be wrong

Well, I see your point. Not really about Big Lebowski, but Long Goodbye. But Inherent Vice tried to capture the spirit of its source material, one big drugged up haze, where nothing really makes much sense. Cheech and Chong mixed with The Big Sleep, if you will.

I can understand why you don't like Inherent Vice. It's certainly not a movie for everyone, but it didn't really fail at what it set out to do, in my opinion.

I saw Die Hard for the first time last Christmas. I was prepared to be blown away from the start since I had been hearing people going on and on and on about it for over 25 years.

For the first half of the film, I sat there like this:

Then, slowly but surely over the last 1/2, I smelled what they were cooking:

I don't know who's to blame, but any enthusiasm and anticipation that I had for my dream movie (Justice League) was terminated about a year ago. Thanks, *******(s).

What an embarrassing failure. I should be ecstatic seeing Batman interact with the DCU. Not dreading it.

Alfred should have served Bruce vichyssoise in Batman & Robin instead of Batman Returns.

I never get excited for the Planet of the Apes movies. I don't know what it is. The recent ones have been really good, and I'm sure the new one will be as well. But for some reason, I'm just sort of "meh" on that series. I don't know why, exactly.

Alfred should have served Bruce Gazpacho because it's a better cold soup imo.

That's what Alfred does though. He is a tragic figure like everyone else.
