That’s a shame, I used to really like Spacey and liked his character in this.

Bernthal should have been in it more as well.

Not at all

As I say I really liked him as an actor but it’s safe to say Baby Driver is his last movie.

Well, for now, unless Hollywood is really going to change this time. Gibson, Depp, Allen etc have all done high profile work even though everyone knows they are scumbags.

True, I think Spacey has had to much against him though personally. We will see.

Of course not. I wasn’t implying that’s the only bad thing Spacey has done. But it’s more to the add to the pile.

I love the moment when Baby told his girlfriend she shouldn't be in this world, that is a great moment of being considerate.

Watched the movie again tonight and I agree. Great moment as it’s also what his foster father told Baby at the start of the movie.

Finally saw and loved loved this. One of omy favorites of 2017. ONLY thing that kinda bugged me was the ending. The ending felt too....i dunno..easy? Lazy? Cliche? I was expecting something more unpredictable. Also some of the characters' motivations are a little wonky (why did Doc let Baby go again?). But whatever, man, this film exuded so much cool and style that it largely overshadows its flaws.

Saw this at the cinema, absolute treat of a film. For me, was essentially John Hughes directs a F&F film via a musical.

Definitely one of the best movies of the year.

Need to watch it again before I make my year end list.

I liked this but didn't love it. The music didn't really do much for me and I felt like it wasn't as original as people were saying. Also, Baby wasn't that compelling or charismatic. I was more interested in Hamm and Foxx. Great editing and action though.

I don't think it was original, but what it was doing it did really, really well.

Eh, not sure how I feel about a potential sequel. The first one was perfectly contained and I liked it that way.

However if Wright is going to write and direct, I can’t really be against it.

There are lessons to be learned on making a better sequel, but not really interested for when the first feels delightfully standalone.

I'm still not high on this like everybody else is. This is one of Wright's weaker movies. It's more style over substance and indulgent. I hate Scott Pilgrim but I can admit that's a great movie but not for me. I sometimes forget I watched this film. It left near no impression on me other than when I remember it, how much I didn't like it that much. It comes off as more superficial. There are things I liked in it, but not enough to consider it even close than what everyone is raving about.

Why do people like this so much and like it's one of the best movies of the year? Is it because it's Edgar Wright's quirky style, the usage of music? Because honestly, as cool as these things are, they don't totally make a great movie in the face of Wright's better writing. It just doesn't match up.

To be honest, I thought Wheelman is a much better film than Baby Driver.

He safe zoned the frick out of this one and yet some way some how he's thrown together a colorful band of misfits, slick action set pieces (practical sfx I think), and dialogue so witty on top of its delivery it tickles intellect. The gimmick helps to stand out from the crowd.

Not to mention it had plenty of substance in terms of Baby's back story with his mother and his relationship with Debora. And then the twists and turns were great also. Wright gets you really invested in the main characters.
