You have to look at the directors of these films first IMO. I can't imagine Jon Favreau creating such a mentally complex film for example. Christopher Nolan seemed to put the story first along with the psychological journey of Bruce Wayne, and the superhero aspect sort of followed suit. All other directors whether by accident or not, seem to be unable to get out the mindset of "this is a film about a super hero", and then create the drama around that. |
