Now we know who's playing several elements of the BO.

Ebony Maw - Tom Vaughan-Lawlor
Proxima Midnight - Carrie Coon
Cull Obsidian - Terry Notary
Corvus Glaive - ?

I think it'll be Ebony Maw, I mean Spider-Man did stop Cull's hammer pretty effortlessly.

From everything we know so far it does seem like EM is really the one to watch out for.
I also thought it was interesting how SM was able to achieve that... stoping CO hammer. But it looked like CO was also throwing IM around...

The others, i'm sure, will wreck plenty of shop too... Still waiting for a good look at Corvus Glaive and Cull Obsidian. More the former since we just saw some CO footage.

So that just leaves Whoopi Goldberg for Corvus Glaive!

It's cool that Lawlor and Notary got to do the voices as well as mo-cap for their characters. I had to look up Carrie Coon because I wasn't that familiar with her name, but she was Ben Afflecks sister in Gone Gone Girl and I remember being pretty awesome in that, so it's nice seeing her in a Marvel movie.

Carrie Coon has a strong female voice. Really solid, nice and confident tone.
Tom Vaughan-Lawlor can be a very unsettling presence. He can be intimidating and scary.

I guess both fit the bill, with what they seem to be going for with Ebony Maw and Proxima Midnight.

I just had to do a quick YouTube of Coon as I've never seen her in anything and I'm happy with what I hear. She has a lovely voice. So glad it's not Whoopi (I love Whoop, but she just wouldn't have been right)

I searched Notary. It looks like another big character with a little voice. It'll probably play off comical on screen.

I'm guessing they will heavily modulate it in post. I don't see the Russo's pulling a Waititi and making Cull another Korg.

About Cull Obsidian being played by that guy the Russos had this to say...

Quote:
“He’s not so much a voice,”

“Well, he did voice the character, but he’s one of the most gifted movement specialists in the world right now,” his brother Joe interjected.

“He played a character who we’ve called Cull Obsidian, who was in the books known as Black Dwarf. So it’s kind of an all-star cast of baddies.”

I can't really process a response right now. Sorry. I'm just thinking about how cool that scene is gonna be.

Also, from that interview it is stated that Cull is a largely silent character, so he might not have any lines at all. It's probably something similar to what Notary did with Kong in Skull Island which means will likely only hear him make grunting or roaring sounds. Interesting to say the least, but I can't be too surprised that they are going for the quiet brute approach.

This just makes me want to see Hulk tear him apart more.

I'm hoping he'll serve to Worf a bit to bring Hulk's win status back up.

He'll be shown to be a sizeable nuisance for Tony and Peter (though Ebony Maw is for sure the real threat in that encounter) and presumably be a big hitter in the Wakanda fight as well.

The Hulkbuster statue shows it battling Cull, with Black Panther coming in to assist. But we know that the Hulkbuster gets trashed.

So I'm hoping it goes like this:

Hulkbuster Mk. 2, while badass for a while, meets its match to Cull, Cull is tearing it apart with ease (almost mirroring whatever thrashing he gives Tony in his new standard armor) and gets bored of the fight. He kicks Hulkbuster over, Outriders swarm it while it attempts to rise, Cull walks away in contempt that he hasn't found a worthy foe. Bruce has his moment of clarity and lets Hulk out. Hulk busts out, kills the Outirders easily, and then challenges Cull. Hulk then begins to punk Cull hardcore. Maybe T'Challa comes in and helps a bit but really its Hulk that is beating Cull to a pulp.

So the Kevin Conroy was just a rumor then?

I think he's always "rumoured" when any voice job comes up.

Thanks for the insight! I like the sound of that versus what I had in mind.

Good point. I'm disappointed as I'd have loved to have him as a villain for once.

I wonder that rumor about the Vikings actress playing Proxima Midnight started.

I hope there's some sort of slight sorrow as Banner let's Hulk out again. I mean he barely gets to ever be Banner for more than a day. He was Hulk for years on Sakaar. And when he finally turned human he had to turn back because of Hela. I want to see that portrayed somehow even if they have to do it more subtle within context like they did in AoU. Which is likely due to the scale of the film and the fact that this isn't nearly as Hulk centric as Ragnarok.

I have a feeling based on everything i've seen so far that the entire Black order dies fairly early in the movie. Those of you expecting them to be major characters with lots of dialogue better brace for impact.

Actually during the set visits journalists did during the summer, some visited the Wakanda battle scene. And one of he journalists in the article she wrote detailing her set visit, she makes a comment of potining out all of the heroes she sees in the scene, and she points out the Proxima Midnight character there too.

And there’s a collectible figure of Cull Obsidian, and the promo picture shows the background of Wakanda:

Honestly, all signs point to them surviving until at least the battle of Wakanda.

How likely is it that Peter Dinklage is Corvus Glaive?
