I wouldn't be surprised if we get another top down Zelda on 3DS. Like a sequel to a Link Between Worlds? I don't think we'll get a full 3D Zelda for 2-3 years.

Rumors have it is that they are still using the BOTW engine, so 2020 is a possibility. I just don't expect them to talk about a new Zelda until next year.

E3 2019 does seem reasonable.

I would actually love that. I think the top-downs have a lot more charm than the fully 3D ones.

Plus, Link Between Worlds was awesome.

Goddamn, you can tell the difference in frame rates in Hyrule Warriors. It is almost distracting.

All of this. I'm what you'd call an old-school LOZ fan; like, I enjoyed BotW but I prefer the older ones so much more.

I was kinda hoping a new Zelda would have been announced at this years E3.

I'm still deeply immersed in BOTW so I'm ok not falling behind with a new Zelda game, but considering how long it takes to develop a game, it would be nice to get some news.

I imagine they may rush one, using BOTW's engine. But, we will see.

There may be a 3DS game in the works as well.

Even if it was, I wouldn't be able to play it cause I've not got a switch yet.
