Black Panther director Ryan Coogler on the deal.

I agree, Ryan. I agree.

Yes but that (Johns working for Donner) was more from the scripting and story perspective if I am not wrong. Feige worked for his wife who was an actual producer and he did his time doing all of that which is what helps him make MCU what it is now, I feel.

Oh man........whenever they introduce MCU Xmen it is going to be a huge event film. Just watch. And then they will begin a new series of films from there. People will say Bryan Singer who? I can not wait until this Fox deal gets finalized.

In the mean time we should start getting new film announcements soon for 2020 and beyond.

Save them in their own movie. I don't want Storm to start as a Black Panther supporting character.

I agree 100%. To take a step further, Storm is deserving of her own movie. She is the most recognizable black female superhero ever.

I expect by the end of the year, because the 2020 released movies will be in pre-production/filming by early/mid next year.

The Phase 3 slate was announced in October 2014, a few months before the release of Age of Ultron, the second last movie of Phase 2. Hopefully they'll do the same with the Phase 4 slate.

Gonna be huge changes after Avengers 4 with all film announcements likely on hold till then. And that's without all these new rights coming back into play. Crazy times ahead!

I can't wait to see things like Wolverine as a manic, snarling beast, Iceman shooting through the city on sheets of ice, Beast leaping and tumbling and performing amazing acrobatics... and SENTINELS, real, huge, menacing bad-ass Sentinels.

I think the X-Men will be fresh and new in the same way the first Spider-Man film was fresh and new compared to the '70's Spider-Man TV show.

Kevin Feige had new comments about the deal which is basically the same as his last comments but he does express interest in getting the full Marvel package of characters(duh).

Quote:
"It’s all about getting Infinity War finished and out, starting Captain Marvel, Ant-Man and the Wasp, Untitled Avengers, the next Spider-Man, and Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 3," Feige told EW. "These are the ones that are keeping us busy. When and how that deal with Fox finishes and comes together and we’re told, 'Hey, now you can start working on it. Now you can start thinking about it,' is when we’ll actually start thinking about it. I will say just the notion of having what, frankly, most other companies with [intellectual property] have all along, which is access to all of their characters, that would be fun."

Let's bring the Marvel characters home.

It's got to be so frustrating to try to build a Marvel world without Dr. Doom, Galactus, Silver Surfer etc. etc. etc.

Marvel God Kevin Feige has given comments about the Fox Deal that might hint at which Fox-owned property might get his 'magic touch' first. Feige has been asked ad nauseum of about the Disney/Fox deal but an interviewer inquired him on what his favorite Fox-owned Marvel character that he would like to get his hands on. Feige is reluctant to play favorites but he does say this.

Quote:
Do you have any favorite characters from that Fox Universe that you’d love to have?
No, I mean, I think those are tremendous characters. I’m not going to pick one over the other of any of these characters because it’s too hard, but my career started with those characters on the “X-Men” films.
Hmm, if/when the deal closes then will the mutants be the first to get the Marvel Studios makeover instead of the First Family?

Much like Spider-Man, Feige was involved with the mutants prior to him becoming president of Marvel Studios - having been an executive producer on the first three Singer X-films working under Laura Schuler Donner who has expressed interest in working with her former mentee to bring Xavier and his X-traordinary(lame pun I know) students into the MCU. Some people have said that the mutants aren't as big as the wall-crawler therefore Marvel wouldn't do the same thing they did when the character joined the Marvel universe - which is to prioritize them and push back the movies they had scheduled before to integrate them into the MCU faster but these comments show the mutants have nostalgic value for Feige who started his first chapter of his incredibly successful career as an executive producer on Singer's very first X-film so you never know. We already know he seems ecstatic about the prospect of playing in that X-sandbox.

Sound off below, folks!

Spider-Man started as a Captain America/Iron Man supporting character.

As did T'Challa. It worked out pretty well for him as well.

Kind of hard to do several characters justice all at once though

And, at the same time, as a precise, "refined" killing machine. Yes!

So far so good. The government has yet to block it and Iger seems ecstatic about the deal reaching completion.

But there is still the looming threat of Comcast since they still seem bent on getting The Fox assets and they’re likely biding their time until after AT&T deal is possibly approved before going after the Fox assets again. Personally, I’m not sure the deal will be approved or even happen. I’m still afraid Comcast will end up ruining everything and possibly convince the Fox shareholders to drop the deal(no!). If that happens along with any scenario in which the deal doesn’t go through...well look at the video link in my sig for a summation of my feelings if that happens.

Unless Thanos himself with the Infinite Gauntlet wills that Comcast wins, they won't.
