I agree...after last year's brilliant Shattered, which people are still buzzing about, I must admit to being disappointed with the noncliffhangery Scare. Just subpar episode. It should have been an episode with a bang.

... Relic and Run are both great eps, and showing Obsession just prior to airing Unsafe is a smart move.

The website u got your info from mixed up the two episodes facade and devoted. wb11.com says dec 15 is facade and dec 22 is devoted but they didnt say anything about the rest of the schedule.

ALL tv shows do that, this year Smallville new episodes be on sooner then before.

Just seems strange- good premire(he flies), then a downward spiral. Jason, the witches, poormans T2 etc.

Now as it is getting thrashed in the ratings- they put on repeats.

I think it is going to end soon- like L&C mid season.
I dont want it to, but i know when a show is about to die.

The writers loose interest, they put on repeats and then the show is taken away.

Maybe the Stars of the show wanted time off too spend with their families over the holidays....not sure how far advance they tape shows but maybe they did just enough to get too this point and will be taping new ones after the first of the year for the rest of the season?

They always have a six to eight week break through november/january, the only difference this year is that they started the break a bit later than usual and will end it a bit later.

In seasons one and three they started the new season in october and had eight episodes before the break. In seasons two and four they started the season in late september and had ten episodes before the break.

I don't know why these things always get questioned...

I don't think it's jumped the shark just yet, although I suppose that is up to debate. And I don't think the writers are losing interest, And Jeph Loeb hasn't written one yet this season, his are always stellar.

Given the stiff competition at 8/7 Central, it's actually holding its own and pulling in good numbers for the Frog network in the most desirable demos...

Because there are more people watching TV at that hour than almost any other single hour during the week, and given the Nielsens are based on the percentage of TV families, it's holding its own against Lost. It probably looks worse than it is...
