I first saw them on Cartoon Network in like 98 so I thought they were new at the time... They're like from the late 80's/early 90's) These are british ones, dunno if you ever had them in America... Winnie The Pooh The Moomins Paddington Bear Thomas the Tank Engine Towser Barbar Poddington Peas Count Duckula Danger Mouse Inspector Gadget Bananaman Family Ness Button Moon Charlie Chalk The Herbs Fireman Sam Postman Pat Roobarb and Custard Rainbow Sooty and Co. The Shoe People Superted Fantastic Max Stopit and Tidyup The Trapdoor The Wombles Morph And I know these are mid 90's cartoons so I dunno if you could call them Oldschoo but you gotta mention them when doing this sort of thing... spider-joe ,shazam! was a live action show about the original capt.marvel, not a cartoon by any chance are you thinking of a 60 foot tall arabian genie in that case THE character you're thinking of is SHAZZAN

Batman: TAS, Pinky and the Brain, The Animaniacs and Inspector Gadget are at the very top of my list, because I loved them when I was very young and still think theyre awesome. Back when cartoons were aimed at children without being idiotic.
