I hope they come out with like a visual guide for the movie, so I can have a compilation of tons of bad ass pictures.

You mean like they did with Spider-Man, Spider-Man 2, and Fantastic Four? The Making of Books?

I hope they have one for Ghost Rider.

They do have a visual guide, and I already bought it. It was mentioned in this forum many times before as well.

Here is a link to buy it from Amazon:

Is that a visual guide for the comic book mythos? Or the movie? I'll copp it regardless b/c I'm highly intrigued by the character (now). But like for Batman, Superman, Spider-man, Hulk, they had a visual guide for the comics and for the movie. I'm hoping we get as webhead said, like a "making of" book, or just a visual guide from the movie with a collection of stills.

Heres a review of the book taken from the link I stated in my last post above:

The book does have coverage of the impending film but the guide takes a look at the long, and sometimes convoluted history of this hero who made his first appearance in Marvel Spotlight in 1972 (and I still have my copy!).

The Ghost Rider's origins have been toyed with and revamped, seemingly by every writer who inherited the reins of this unique character. The DK guide does a good job of presenting these various origins that stretch back to the shadowy ancient past when demons walked the Earth, long before recorded history. The history of the demons Mephisto and Zarathos have ever been tied to the Ghost Rider heritage although we will see that the Original, Johnny Blaze Ghost Rider, was the vessel of the defeated Zarathos, while the later Dan Ketch was the true Spirit of Vengeance. Like I said, convoluted, but very interesting to read, especially since it's all in one place.

The Guide follows Blaze through his binding with Zarathos through his time spent as a member of the short-lived super team The Champions. Get up close and personal with all of his powers including his notorious Hellfire. Despite the fact that the original Ghost Rider had a weak cadre of villains such as The Orb, the title still ran for an impressive ten years.

Ghost Rider would take a turn for the darker with the 1990's incarnation as the new Ghost Rider would battle various demonic types such as Blackout, Vengeance, Lilith, and Skinner. But the Dan Ketch Ghost Rider would have powerful allies in the Midnight Sons which included Morbius the Living Vampire, Blade, Dr. Strange, and Johnny Blaze himself. Of course, all of this is presented with gorgeous full color art-work direct from Marvel Comics.

There is a wonderful section that takes readers on a decade-by-decade tour of Ghost Rider's career, giving due credit to the talent which worked on the titles such as writers Gary Friedrich, J.M. DeMatteis, and Howard Mackie, Bret Blevins, Larry Hama, and artists Mike Ploog, Don Perlin, Javier Saltares, Mark Texeira, Adam Kubert, and Clayton Crain. The book is thoroughly complete not only covering the two main, long-running series but also the Marvel Knights limited runs, Ghost Rider 2099,and finally, the brand new series introduced in 2006. And yes, film fans, the book does provide a short peek at the upcoming film with some fantastic insider photos.

He said they couldn't get the boxes out because there was loads and loads of boxes to go through in the back. They just had a few items out on the store floor in order for their new floor plan, and where to stock new items, from the aftermath x-mas destruction. Both series 1 and 2 are releasing at the same time.

They other figures they had:
- Fire Blast GR (comes w/ like a skull shotgun)
- Raging Ghost Rider (comes w/ chain. And one of the few figs with a closed mouth sculpt for GR)
- 2 of the Johnny Blaze GR (got both)
- 2 of the Flaming Fist GR (no gloves, with light up fire on his hands)
- 2 Scarecrows
- and Vengence

I'm wondering if we could possibly see either of the two latter characters in the new movie.
Not ALL Walmarts carry the same thing. I live where Walmart's based, there are 2 Superstores and one HUGE experimental Walmart all within 15 minutes from each other, and all are either WAY behind or aren't carrying Ghost Rider as we are also in the bible belt so to speak.
The huge one JUST put out LOKI, one of the Superstores just put out the Mojo set. just to give you an idea of how slow they are here.

True I'm hoping that's just the reason, but, even BEFORE X-mas, they were behind.

I picked up the 12-inch "Ultimate Ghost Rider" figure today, the one that comes with the Hell Cycle, from Wal-Mart. While it was actually supposed to cost a little under 40 bucks, a mistake on the stocker's part and a little flirting with the cashier allowed me to walk away with it for a measly 17 dollars. I felt blessed tonight, lol, and the figure itself looks fantastic.

Do they sell these somewhere other than Walmart? Some of us are blessed to not have that plague devouring out cities (still trying to weed out the Targets and K-Marts, though).

DAMMNIT!!!
both Walmarts STILL havent restocked from the xmas ransacking just a few weeks ago. they only have 1 or 2 of those ripcord GRs left.
i really want to pick that Ultimate GR from Walmart since i would save some money rather getting it online. all of the online stores have it starting at 49.00 and thats not including shipping which will also be more expensive since its such a large box.

I did take some pictures of the figure last night (doing a George Burns impression, lol), but I haven't had a chance to load 'em onto my computer yet. I'll try to get 'em up here later today.

FINALLY!!! My Wal-Mart has the GR figs!
I picked up the Caretaker and electronic Flame cycle (smaller version) the small one you wave GR's hand over the Tank and the Bike starts up and lights up in spots, Pretty cool.
BG, they do have the big one I may go back later today to get it, for 38.88.

Walmarts have them but not sure if they're exculsive to Wally World.
Ran into a father and son there while picking them up, the dad was saying, "wonder if there's going to be a movie?" I said, "yup there is, next month." the boy AND father got excited, and said "WOW Really? COOL!"

I think I saw that bike.^

Is Ghost Rider attached to it? Like stuck onto it?

How "cool" is it? I might buy it. You remember the price?

which one the 12" Ultimate GR or the Electronic version?
both have figures that you can remove and are fully posable.
the only figures that are stuck to the bikes are the titanium die-cast figures and the rip cord stunt figures and bikes.

thanks for that update Vartha....will have to check Walmart tonight.

Both the Small one and HUGE one BG wants the figure comes off, so you can pose GR next to the bike.
EDIT the Small one was 14.88.

Dang.

I thought that small one was just Cheap Rider stuck to a bike.

I hope it's still there when I go back to Walmart later this week.

I like it, the ONLY thing I don't like about the 12" one is the fire covers the Cow skull on the bike too much, but, still looks cool.
Should I take pics of the small one for ya?
