Adrian Paul: "Where are we going?"
Brett Leonard: "Back paddock. We need to milk that cow again."

Well, I woulad have prefered Russell Mulcahy than Brett Leonard.
But who knows, Leonard hasn't written the script.
Peter Briggs ( Hellboy ), and later Doug Abramovitz ( the writer of the series ) and Adrian Paul has.

And, no more Dimension Film / Joel Soisson script... and that's a very good thing...

Can't be worse than number 2, but (as much as I love swords & swordfighting) I'm sceptical. Highlander movies don't have a good track record.

nothing can be worst than H2. Panzer and Davis succeeded in pissing of both Russell Mulcahy and Sean Connery after the success of Highlander 1.

The fourth movie had a great potential but was one of the the first movie which where scenes were cut only to make a 90 minutes movie and Soisson's script was so inept that Adrian Paul ( only actor ) had to help the director changing it during the shooting...
And Dimension Film accorded " generously " something like a week to make the special effects. That's why they are so bad compared to those of highlander 3 !

Now, Dimension Film has ( hopefully ) gone, and lions gate / Mandalay ( who produced the " Punisher " ) are the new distributor.

LOL, are they insane? All the sequels have been critically mauled, and the last two flopped big time at the box office.

They should leave Highlander alone. It bad enough to get bad remakes but this.

well, Highlander 3 was a very mediocre remake of Highlander 1 and highlander 4 was a flop in the box office ( but later a success in DVD )

I think that with the source they get rid of the old " there can be only one " and " In the end of the movie, macleod will win the prize... until the next movie " to make something new.

And Panzer and Davis remember so much the disaster of Highlander 2 and the zeist crap, that they seems to be really cautious with this one...

will it be a success or a terrible failure like the second one... I don't know.

And I'm as sad as you Erundur, but Sean Connery will never return after highlander 2....

No Christopher Lambert?

Highlander without the Highlander is no Highlander at all.

number 4, an extra long episode me thinks, explains what happened to Conner and why he wont be in this one. 4 was really a sequill to the show more then a stand alone movie.

And gosh darn it were is Kate/Faith! After they go through the trouble of fixing 4 for the dvd where is she!

Where did they get the funding for this? Honestly? The last two movies bombed (no offense to the Highlander fans out there)

Actually, being a fan of the series as well, I think they're filming a trilogy of sorts & it is going straight to DVD route with the TV series cast summing up the mystery of the Immortals.

Nope not to DVD it's going cinema. And yes it's a trillogy. They actually let people who knew how to handle Highlander write the script and the actors who have played the characters for SIX seasons have an input on the script. So hopefully it wont suck as big of balls.

I can't wait for the movie(s). I just want to know what the flip happen to Faith/Kate! I mean the DVD they put it back in that she was alive and her and Mac were going to give it another try damn it!

How does Highlander continuity go? In every movie and on the show, it seems like they just have the same characters but the timeline changes.

Okay for the question of time line. Movies 1 & 2 go together, Renagade cut of 2 is 100 times better so if you want that timeline watch that version.

The TV series says the first movie happened but Conner and Krugen were not the last two. The quickining we see is Conner getting all the Krugens power nothing more and the TV show picks up from that point with a different character. That character would be Duncan.

So you have the six seasons of the show and then the fourth movie, Endgame. Endgame is named such because it is the End of the game for Conner. So 4 is a sequill to the show just like the new movies will be with Duncan as the hero.

Movie 3 well it's just more of a soft porn movie then anything and doesn't really fit in with any timeline.

when they started all the alternate realites crap then it went to hell, i remember watching a documentary on endgame and it went like this

main reality: highlander
possible future: highlander 2
alt reality: highlander 3

alternate reality to the first filmbut linked to each other: tv show and endgame

Instead of making a trilogy they should've just made another season, where they could've shown the events of Endgame as well, in a two-parter, to show what happened to Connor.
