Anyone else read #88? I thought it was a great issue, especially the art. Can't wait for the new arc starting next month.

88 was good. A change of pace from what we just wrapped up, but you kinda had to expect that coming in. I like the gritty, unpolished look of the art. It plays into the story better. A couple of surprises here. Notably,
Spoiler!!! Click to Read!:
Elektra's people looking out for Foggy and layin' the smack down
...if that's really what it was. Good inner monologue throughout. Looking forward to 89.

Read # 88 this morning. A good single issue in between story arcs, in my opinion. I think the biggest reveal of the issue
Spoiler!!! Click to Read!:
were the ninjas who took out the mobsters, and we're just merely speculating as Foggy that the ninjas were working for Elektra.

But I loved how Foggy kept throwing into the guys face of what the FBI did to Matt, heh.

Where is a good place to start buying the TPB if you want to catch up to current. Do they have the trades from the start of Bendis' Run?

Thanks.

Tombstone?!?!? What, is DD gonna get his entire Rogue's Gallery from Spidey? Actually, I can't wait to see what Bru is gonna do with him.

Start with the Volume 2 hardcover. The hardcovers are $30 a pop, but are less in the long run.

DD's rogues are really lame if you look at it. I can't wait for DD to get some of Spidey's rogues that are seldom used. I mean, even his biggest nemesis (Kingpin) was originally Spidey.

I'm loving the story sofar, but I gotta say, unlike most, I don't really liek the art. I'm more of a fan of the amazing spiderman/wolverine-esque art.

Man, Bermejo's covers are freakin' fantastic.

I wonder how DD gets involved with Tombstone. It should be an interesting read as Brubaker has handled the rogues quite nicely so far.

Flash's rogues gallery was lame before Johns revamped it, besides there are some B-list DD rogues with potenial: Purple Man, Typhoid Mary, Mr. Hyde, etc.

Does anyone think Brubaker will do the impossible and make Matador into a cool character?

Tombstone is a hitman, he is likely working for Alton Lennox and is being paid to kill DD for him.

A return from Tombstone and Matador in that issue... It seems Marvel is trying to resurrect characters that did not recieve much appreciation from fans years ago.

I don't know how much of a fan everyone was of Moon Knight, Spider-Woman or Iron Fist, but Moon Knight is back on top with a new series. Spider-Woman will soon have an ongoing which should be good. And a Iron Fist series will be written by Brubaker. All of these characters weren't very popular and now each of the new series may be on everyone's pull list to read.

It's an aquired taste, believe me. When I first started picked up DD at the beginning of the arc I didn't buy it becasue I couldn't digest the art, but given time you get bored with the normal happy comi-like art of other books and so when I picked up #87 it was a refreshing change and I could appreciate how it lended its self to the story.

Oh I'm sure some will like Spider-Woman when Bendis and Maleev begin a new Spider-Woman series.

I really think DD is Marve's best book at the moment. I miss Maleev's work on DD, but as soon as I had seen some of Lark's previous work before DD I really started to appreciate Lark's art.
