Batman 2 other characters thread

so i have a couple casting calls i think would be sweet, and a couple question i am wondering what you guys think about

first the question...

ok since The Long Halloween seems to be the story of choice for most fans (i think it would be incredible, i also like frank millers stuff too)
do you guys want that type of story with the holiday subplot, and cat women, and riddler, and penguin...or do you just want like the Dent/Gordon/Batman vs. like Falcones/Maroni's/Joker just basic good guys vs bad guys and get to the other villans latter?

i personally want the second one, because that would be to many characters for one movie...but i would like shades of like Selina Kyle, and the Riddler maybe...

now the new characters that could be in it, and who should play em..

Crime Boss Sal Maroni-i am thinking an Al Pacino could be just the most dynamite Maroni ever, and completely light up the screen as a bad guy, who would be like the main bad guy but cast aside by the Joker..

Selina Kyle-i like Angelina Jolie here, i think she looks alot like the TLH Kyle, and is very anti-heroine in most of her stuff

Gilda Dent-Emily Watson (die her hair black) she does take the fall for the murders at the end of TLH so if that is the story they roll with she would be a crucial character who should appear naive, emily watson can do that

Alberto Falcone-as opposed to the joker rumors, i think this is the role Adrien Brody could dominate

also, i love that rouges gallery scene in TLH, which is the only reason i would be for all of the villans in it, cause that scene rules

No Riddler, No Holiday subplot, Etc The part of LH I want is Harvey Dent's transformation. The movie should be about many of best Batman comics all rolled into one like Batman Begins did. But I wouldn't mind Penguin in this one.

penguin would be interesting....i dunno though i think just like a Noir Batman movie with Joker in it, and Dent's transformation would be the coolest way to present it

i think if they base too heavily on TLH it would be overkill. definitely bring in Gilda Dent, but id they do like TAS and when Harvey is transformed she tries to help him until she finally has to leave him.

Id like a "gang war" situation- people trying to claim Falcone's former assesst and Sofia Gigante trying to presverve Falcone Family power. and have Penguin playing a Larger-Than-Cameo part as an arms dealer.

i just out of personal preference, Id rather they introduce Talia instead of Selina (selina's been done already). But if they do bring in Selina, id want Kate Beckinsale

yeah i think the way they made Gotham in Begins, a Gang war between the Maroni's and Falcone's Film Noir style would be the way to go like the Godfather meets Batman would be so cool, then i would be 100 percent cool with a smaller then lead villan joker

I think that Joker should be blowing up all the mob families rackets resulting in a mob war. And the big question everyone is asking is is the joker working with the league of shadows who still has control over themob or is he acting alone?

That is a cool idea if that were to happen, though would joker's motives be for revenge or to make way for the freaks of Gotham like himself?

I think they need to introduce Harvey Dent and show the developing bond between Batman, Gordon and Dent. But not turn him into two-face until the next films. Maybe they could do the same with Joker that way they can put some new Characters in.

Probably a little of both.

After all, I could see The Joker going after The Red Hood gang for his disfigurement, than he takes over that gang, and then sets his sights on the Falcones as they are trying to stay in business, but the Maronis are moving in on their turf. Life is hard, Gotham is still deteriorating, so it's anybody's game as who takes over what.

And of course now with The Batman in the picture, the crime families are no longer owning Gotham City, bribing crooked cops and crooked politicians, and are now having to defend for themselves and do things alone.

Then, we could finally get the storyline where Bane breaks Batman's back and he contemplates hanging up his cape and cowl thinking Bane's too strong and powerful of an opponent to go after again.

wait do think that is a good idea maybe they could hint at that for future purposes or they could just fight not just crush his back. Because doesn't that get a little complicated like Azrael also a bit early otherwise you'll end with some Rocky movie were he has to have his comeback for a plot.

I don't think the Maronis will be on it seeing as the main mob boss will be Lew Moxon. If you look at **************s.com it says that the mob boss will work with Black amsk. And that the mob boss will have ties with Thomas Wayne. And in Detective comics 258 Lew Moxon was the one who hired Joe Chill to kill Thomas and Martha Wayne and make it look like a mugging.

when you think about wasn't it a mistake for them to have solved Bruce's parents murder? in the comics isn't it suposed to be unsolved, this would have been better. it would have brought more trajedy to Bruce and make him more obssesed.

As far as Batman 2 goes I want - Bats, Gordon, Dent, Maroni, Black Mask, Joker, Penguin. Perhaps Thompkins, Bullock, Montoya and Essen.

Exactly what I been thinking for a while. You don't need both of them. The Joker will almost definitely be a loner in this film. I don't think they will give him goons again, circus freaks like TKJ might happen though.

They could put Maroni in, but....well....alright, don't get me wrong, I loved The Long Halloween and Dark Victory, they were great Two Face stories, and there are alot of great scenes in them I'd love to see on screen, but I dont want the movies to re-create the whole mafia empire. I think it would get confusing with all the Falcones, Maronis, Zuccos, Skeevers, and whoever else there is. Like I said, maybe Maroni or Sofia Gigante would be alright, but not the whole lot of them. It was a good idea to have the Riddler as more of the nerdy guy Batman hit up for answers like everyones been saying, so I'd like to see him re-done. They could also at least introduce Selina Kyle, even if they don't go with Catwoman. Man that Halle Berry movie's messing everything up. I'd DIE if they used her. But i know they won't.
