Hello IIIII'M BAAAAAAACK
Not 99.44% certain who should be Anthony Stark myself YET! but the one thing I do know for a fact is Leo D simply "ISN'T METAL ENOUGH" sorry all you "Leo Worshippers" I mean C'mon . now someone like Billy Crudup or Jim C would be a good choice. anyway it'd have to be someone that IS THE LIVING PERSONIFICATION OF TONY S, THAT "The Blizzard of Ozz" himsef none other than "Ozzy Osbourne" would approve of not to mention THE ONE man for the job in regards to the visual aspect Computer Generated Imagery, Attire re: Anthony(s) gear for his "Other" job which my pick would be for "Stan Winston"http://www.stanwinston.com for the job of creating let's just say "The Most Advanced Suit on the FACE OF THE EARTH". but I digress either way my vote is for the intro or at least some point of the film to state He's Tony Stark He'll Make You Feel He's The Coolest Of Executives with a Heart Of Steel W/All His Jets Ablaze He'll Fight & He'll Fight With His Repulsar Rays W/His Amazing armor He's then of course the right and ![]() thing for them to do at that point is to CRANK IT "UP TO ELEVEN" or close enough and SEGWAY or however they choose to do so into what has just this month re: VH1 Classic(s) "Metal Month" been rated the "NUMBER ONE HEAVY METAL SONG OF ALL TIME" of course RE: Black Sabbaths "IRON MAN" maybe? the Live Evil Version or an all new version of which guitar legends like "Steve V" or "Joe Satriani" are in on along with of course Mr Osbourne and of course some if not all of the rest of "Sabbath(s)" band members. either way time for quite a few "ShellHeads" to unite this summer July 20-24 at Comic Con Internationalhttp://www.comic-con.org & make our voices heard!!. |

Personally I hope he doesn't get the role. I CANNOT stand him and if he gets the part I will refuse to see the movie.....ever. The last movie of his that I saw was "Top Gun". Sometime after that my hatred for him grew to monstrous proportions. I'd rather see someone, anyone else (except for Jack Black, Nic Cage, or Bruce Willis, I hate them too) play the part. I'd even accept a female playing the part. Angelina Jolie or Monica Bellucci as Antonia or Antoinette Stark......hmmmm, I like it. They can make Kingpin black, they can make Stark a female. I doubt IM fans would acknowledge the film's existence if they did that though.

If the rumors about him wanting to do this movie with Favreau are true, he very well could get this role, if he really wants it. Now, he might be thinking he needs to make another Collateral or Magnolia type role for himself.

I've always been for Cruise as Tony Stark. Sure he has massive star power but that could be a good thing. He's dedicated to his films and won't settle for crap (which is what a lot of Marvel film adaptations have been lately).

Yes, Cruise definately has his baggage, but he could be a good choice for Tony (as long as Favreau sets him straight on any stupid ideas he may want to introduce to the film!) Could do alot worse if it happened imo.

I don't think Tom Cruise is a good choice mostly for box office reasons now. I think M:I-3 is a good example of this... his lack of popularity and accusations of "being crazy" have a significant imact, and I am sure it's why M:I-3 which has gone over well with critics failed at the Box Office. I am sure it will earn the money it took to make the film and a little more, but I will never be the success I imagine they relied on it being.
I think the same thing would happen for Iron Man. Would Tom Cruise be a good fit? Maybe. A short Tony Stark, but he could probably pull it off. I'd rather see Jim Caviezel. I wasn't sure at first, but after watching Count of Monte Cristo this weekend, I think he'd be perfect, as a lot of people agree. |

If Tom Cruise stars in the movie you are guaranteed at least $110 million US domestically and probably twice that amount or more overseas.
So while he might not always get $200 million movies, he does bring in a pretty consistent amount of cash. Also, Cruise's height has NEVER been relevant to the characters he plays. Do you guys realize how many of Hollywood's leading men are NOT that tall? On a movie screen it really doesn't matter.

White boy's got rhytm....... ![]() Anyway, I like Tomboy and you people should all know Mravel studios and their constituents by now, they'll want big money for a film like ironman and hiring cruise is something I wouldn't put past them to achieve this but with that said, I dont want cruise as stark, mainly because I'd rather see someone like Cviesel as mentioned before in the role. |

I believe Marvel did admit, they tried to make Tony look more like Tom Cruise, to show him that he'd be good for the role of Tony Stark, back when the project was with New Line.

I still don't see it. There's something about Tony Stark that reminds you of Errol Flynn and Howard Hughes. Let's face it, Tom Cruise doesn't look anything like them.
