So if Ben comes back would you be pissed if he was on the New Avengers or New Avnger West Coast? I think it'd be cool if he was on one of them or maybe one of the new teams coming outta Civil War. Or would alot of you be pissed like some were with Pete being on it?

But putting him on a West Coast team, or some kind of out of reality team, (like Spidey 2099 is on Exiles) would be great! How about Las Vegas. They could use a superhero |

Seattle. Seems to be a popular destination, which's kinda cool since that's where I was havin' my own Spider-Girl end up two years before there ever WAS a Spider-Girl.

It's hard to imagine Spider-Man working quite as well anywhere other than New York. There just aren't any urban jungles quite like the Big Apple. Though Chicago would probably work.

No more freakin' clones. No more rip-offs. No more Spideys with boobs. ONE Spider-Man. JUST ONE. Come up with something ORIGINAL.

As much as I hate to agree, the clone will never come back. They will never bring back the clone, and they never should. The only thing they really nailed during that awful thing was how good a scientist Peter was. Or at least -that- he was a scientist. Though you'd never know it from what we're reading today.

Honestly, how do peopel expect Ben to come back?! He was impaled by a goblin-glider through the spine, he fell about 30 stories onto a car, and then he disintegrated into a pile of goo. Maybe he can be like mud-man....that would be cool....right? NO!!! I grow weary of all the Spider-wannabes as well. And we all KNOW there will be someone wearing Spider-Man's lame-ass Iron Spidey suit after Civil War ends....Spidey fighting a guy in his old suit.....that's never been done before...

True clones don't turn into dust. Easily played off of.

Bah...it's a moot point. He was killed three times in one issue and there's no chance of him coming back. Sorry, fellas, but 'tis over.

You just know he'll come back eventually as some Jason Todd wanabee. Pissed off at Peter for letting him die (or letting Osborn capture him) Rightfully so as well. You sacrifice yourself for another person, and they completley switch gears and start living the high life with the Avengers, doing nothing, helping only themselves. Mentioning you only to make fun of you

I never cared much for Scarlet, and wouldn't care to see him back again. But frankly, it's not something that would surprise me in the least anymore.

Why would it matter? Its not like you'd have to read the books he's in. Also it sucks there getting rid of Spidey with boobs. I just read the newist issue of Spider-Girl and it was awesome. I even liked it better then Ultimate Spider-Man's most recent issues. Quote:

Tell me- what is the upside of having two Spider-Men? The Spider-Man concept is already overexposed and lacking in quality- and now you expect Marvel to come up with interesting things to do with twice as much Spider-Man? And let's be clear- there's also a very simple reason why Ben Reilly isn't around anymore. By-enlarge the audience doesn't want him. Spider-Man's alter ego is Peter Parker. Sure- you may be a fan of the character for whatever reason. You'll find someone who'll bite down on anything. There are fans of the current things going on in the books. But most folks aren't biting.

The Fans of Reilly Thread is going strong for a character "nobody" wants. I see alot of people talking about how they want Marvel to bring back Ben on other msg boards. I think there's alot of people who want to see him back. A good story's a good story. Just look at Bucky and the Jason Todd. Nobody wanted Jason Todd back and killing him off WAS fan voted. Now he's a cool character that even Todd haters like now. There are no bad characters only bad writers.

But in all the examples you give- Batman family (I hate that childish name), Jason Todd, none of them are direct- EXACT copies of the original character. Granted I think even having a Batgirl or Superboy is too much, but Reilly is worse. And since you agree that it's the writing and not the character, then why would we need a second Spider-Man? All they have to do is produce good stories with the original, made more difficult if there are multiple Spider-Men. As for a Ben Reilly return being able to allow them to maintain the marriage et al- It wouldn't. Again, the concern is being able to tell stories with PETER PARKER being single. Not just Spider-Man being single. IF Ben Reilly had unique abilities and costume, that would be one thing. But additional characters with the same powers and similar look waters down the original. I understand that there are a number of folks who like Ben Reilly, unfortunately you guys are casualties of Marvel's bad editorial policy, just as those of us who've now dropped the titles due to all the silliness happeneing in the current stories. If Marvel was simply producing good Spidey stories and didn't decide to take such ridiculous paths this problem wouldn't exist. And Jason Todd isn't a valid comparison. The fans voted for Robin 2's death. The Jason Todd that returned is The Red Hood and bears no resemblance to the character killed off 16 years ago other than his name. Agaijn, if Ben Reilly had different super powers and costume, I might not have a problem with it. But I maintain that more Spider-Men isn't the answer.
