Is Steve Urkel(Jaleel White) really dead?

I got this email today that says the actor that played Urkel on family matters killed himself on Monday. Is this a hoax or what? I havent seen it in any other headlines

Jaleel White is not dead...the sad thing is this is the most press he has gotten in 10 years. However it doesn't matter, he committed career suicide years ago.
