Um, Firefox is being a ***** to me. I start up my computer and it works fine, then later in the day I find it won't open when I want to surf the interwebs. I am forced to use IE. What the hell is Firefox's deal.

What do you mean, won't open? You get no response at all?

Yeah I click on the firefox icon and though the little hourglass may show up for a split second, indicating loading, no window opens.

Uninstall it, then make sure the firefox folder is removed...
Reboot Reinstall see if that resolves it.

Try:
Ctrl+Alt+Delete At the Task Manager window, there should be tabs, click Processes. Look for firefox.exe under the Image Name column Click End Process at the bottom Try opening it again. I had a similar problem with Windows Media Player long ago. I clicked it, but nothing happened. My friend said the computer may think it's still running so when you try to open it, you get no response. I'm not sure if it'll work for FireFox, but it's worth a shot. |

I'm having a problem with Firefox on my wife's acount. Whenever you click any type of lick it opens that link in a tab. How do I fix it so that it just opens the link in the current browser? I haven't had a chance to get into her account yet to even take a look, but if someone can give me a heads up, I'd appreciate it.

Is the problem that when you click a link, it opens up in a new window or that it opens up in a new tab in the same window?
Either way, I believe you can solve the problem by going to Tools > Options > Tabs. ![]() Try setting it to open in the most recent tab/window. Then check the box below to force the link to open in the same tab/window as the link. |
