With all of these new official character threads, I thought it would be cool to start one for Kitty Pryde. One of the most beloved X-Women of all time. Here you can discuss anything about her character, post pictures or anything that has to do with Kitty.

Weapons Kitty formerly used one of Wolverine's bone claws attached to her wrist. Paraphernalia Kitty possesses several volumes of "Destiny's Diaries," books written by the precognitive mutant destiny on possible events of the future.

I thought that Ellen Paige did an outstanding job as Kitty in X3.

Yeah she was, but can we keep this to comic talk?
Thanks.

I suscribe so much to this thread!! I love Kitty and Lockheed!!!
Let's talk about how Whedon... even though he's making a terrific job with her, completely threw away all the character developmente Claremont did with her in X-treme X-Men. |

If it wasn't for Psylocke, Kitty would definitely be my favorite X-woman

Kitty Pryde: Shadow & Flame was a pretty decent mini-series. Showed off Kitty's fighting skills.

What did Claremont do, anyway? I barely read X-Treme.

Claremont gave her a job, gave her a career, she started to be more political, she was even going to participate in an election to be an alderman or something like that, the beginings of what we saw in The End.

While I agree with the general idea of Kitty getting character development-- and, in fact, Claremont's ideas for her are pretty good, he knows the character best of anyone-- it's hard to argue with bringing the character back closer to her classic roots.
The one we see in "Astonishing" is just... that's KITTY, y'know? The same adorable mutant phase artist I was reading about 20 years ago. Granted, maybe a little too much the same, but how can I not like that?

It's Whedon...she's Kitty...she seems a lot like Kayley from Firefly...although when I first saw Firefly I fell in love with Kaylee because she reminded me of Kitty. So I can't complain. I'm just glad she's in one of the good books.

Yeah, but it was still a decent solo Kitty story. She was smart and a great fighter. Paul Smith's artwork doesn't copy the detail of his original X-Men run. But he still delivers the subtle moves of great martial fighting.

I wish they'd have Kitty do more gadget stuff. She made a cool device to impersonate Rachel's mutant signature. Why can't she invent more stuff instead of spend time with politics?

You'd need a writer who can conceive related complex problems.

This thread seems fun. I think every time the owner makes their own thread and people start coming on here, their kinda like the moderator, lol. Anywho, I like Kitty. She may be hard-headed sometimes but she has a nice personality and a good heart.

Yeah, she sure can be bull-headed. But a girl like her has publicly stood up against the likes of Loki and Stryker. That takes real courage.
