How long till superboy prime becomes a chump?

It always happens in comics. New villian comes out and makes a huge impact, then in a few years gets taken out to put a new hero over.

Doomsday killed superman and got taken out in two panels in IC.

Promethus took out JLA and got owned by batman in the next meeting.

and in marvel thanos (who, i will remind you, did destroy half the universe) got taken out by kazar. Freaking Kazar!

I think it wont be for a year or two, but it will be Bart Allen as the flash that does it. Just to show us that he is up there with Wally in terms of power.

Either that or it will be one guy who slows him down way longer than he should. like if hal fought him for a bit before back up arrived, even thoug he killed like 33 green lanterns in IC.

What do you guys reckon?

I thought SBP was pretty sweet when he first showed up, up until he was just ****ing crazy. I actually felt sympathy for him when he punched that woman's head out of existence while still trying to convey that he was the good one.

I'd love to see him come back and just destroy more ****. Have him return even stronger somehow, with less reality-wall punching.

I'd even like to see Robin and him throwdown, since Robin's sorta been crazy with the trying to clone SB. Getting a chance for Robin to take out his frustrations would be sweet.

cept Tim would be killed against SBP, even though he has come along way with his fighting skills OYL he still wouldn't have a chance in hell.

i think there should be an editorial rule that noone can touch the character for at least five years.

he is completly badass and will get a 'holy sh**' reaction from any fan next time he shows up.

I wouldnt mind him being in the periphery in a GL book, acknowledging that he is still on Oa, or even a mini series about what happened in the speed force, but i think there going to have to resolve where wally is first.

also i think tim stepping up to sbp would be great, like captain america and thanos in infinity gauntlet, but he would get beaten so fast it would be between panels.


unless tim somehow gets to Oa, walks into his cell, drops his utility belt on the ground and says something like 'you killed my best friend and now im going to give you something to cry about'

Eh. Honestly I could see Tim beating SBP, just like how Batman could beat Superman if he had to with some plot device like Kryptonite.

If there were ever a real fight though, Superman would just destroy Batman, IMO.

And I'm not even looking at it to see Robin beat SBP. I'd just like to see how he'd respond to seeing this SB.

SB Prime being mentioned in passing would be cool. Even just...seeing him every so often in a GL book would be cool.

They didn't "force" it, they showed his reasoning and the path he took towards what he became. And he wasn't even purely evil, they made it possible for you to sympathize with him.

i understand what you are talking about. the doomsday thing kinda made me mad although it was really cool at the same time.

and seeing Tim hand SBP's ass to him while he is powerless would be awesome although unlikely
