Origins places Wolverine's birth in the late 1890's.

I think the bone claws idea is stupid. The movies seem to reflect that his claws can't be bone since they are flat-sided. I imagine bone claws would NOT look like that.

Well, what if Stryker decided to 'grind' the bones to a more suitable size. Making the adamantium claws fit.

Let me Keep this direct and concise as possibe - I am preetty damned angry after reading trhe details of this script. This script breaks EVERY single rule so far set by comic book movies of staying true and faithful to the comic book counterparts, I don't think a comic character's movie origin has been changed so drastically from the source till now(perhaps Howard The Duck?).

First as has been mentioned the timeline glitch is unnerving as all hell but nobody seems to catch the most glaring outrage which completely cripples the Woilverine character's core essence: HE FRICKIN' VOLUNTEERS FOR THE WEAPON X PROCEDURE! This defeats the entire tragedy and inner turmoil of Logan as a character, being captured against his will and tortured is what makes Wolverine who he is, take that away and you have nothing but a cheezy revenge film with an A-Hole for a lead. I can proclaim that I am a true Wolverine fan they don't come much bigger, and this rape of my favorite fictional character is criminal, Spider-Man decapitating bank robbers in the third movie criminal.

I am not a big fan of the script either... screwed up the origin... have some pretty lame mutants... but what bothers me is that my favorite villains have been left out... hopefully it turns for the better though...

They would regenerate and is therefore not plausible.

But in X2, Stryker does say that he volunteered for it. If they're keeping the storyline of the movies, it fits...although yes, he could have been lying.

Ehhhh...don't be so quick to judge that. From what I read, he volunteered so he could get Sabertooth. Stryker's plan seems a lot different from what he's promising Logan.

Relax..it's a review of the first act of a script for a movie that doesn't even have director or a release date yet. It's way early to be slitting your wrists over it yet.

Personally I LOVE it...It sounds really really really good. we cant have everything panel for panel in comic book films and this is satisfying imo.

I think what he meant is that he really likes it but it isnt perfect cause of no Omega Red.

And its true...perfect is a strong word...like hate is...i guess

I agree this is my only qualm about the scrip... I don't want to sound like a Cyke fan but I would've loved to see Omega on the big screen... I will love the movie nevertheless.. my only thin is that if you have a four armed mutant and blob??? Why no Omega, or Detahsyrke, or Deadpool? I'll try to stop sounding like a Cyke fan cause I don't want this movie getting bad criticism just cause their favorite characters aren't in...

I like the sound of the script.... there is no way they could pack in Omega Red and Deathstryke as well - those could be in the next films (if they are envisaging a trilogy). I like the mutant cameos especially - this is a good chance to add in other mutants. Personally, I want Snowbird, but you can't have everything!

to whomever said that it destroys the character to have him volunteer for the procedure obviously doesn't know the character. wolverine is open to interpretation, but making him volunteer is no a slap in the face. he was a freakin' animal when weapon x recruited him. he was a cold-blooded killer. and in this script it tones that down and makes him more vengeful. he goes through the procedure because he thinks that it will help him kill the man(sabretooth) who killed his girlfriend(silver fox). it doesn't kill the character it just makes him more human, which isn't horrible.

it was just the first act. but it seems that its mostly about wolvie's origin and weapon x stuff. seems that it'll have blob, silver fox, sabretooth, and john wraith to name a few. only the first act was reviewed(i think) but its not that hard to tell where its going.
