I thought I'd put this little bit of info in here, I could've probably found a more suitable thread but this will do . . . in fact I could have put it in the Toby thread, but since he is talking about Kirsten, here we go:
I was sat in my office today (working on a Sunday WTF?) reading a paper called the Sunday star -- a British rag, with thin articles but full chests -- and noticed a small article with some quotes from Tobey in it. They didn't mention where the interview was pulled from. Tobey was talking about Kirsten, saying how she was crying at the end of the shoot because they had been 'working as a team for so long'. Now I know we have already read reports where Kirsten has said they will be having quite a large break after this because Sam is 'burnt out', but the more I hear, the more final it sounds. Just thought I'd put this out there -- sorry for lack of links and not being able to scan the article, but that kind of paper is not the kind of thing I'd bring home *s******s* even if I did have a scanner.

Hmm, a long break? Tobey's going to be 32 this year. Time isn't on his side anymore. Imo I say they're as good as gone. Also, I read a site that was linked from cominsoon.net that Jake G was being considered to replace Tobey for sm4 and that Jake was either going to do shazam or spider-man....and with reports today refuting Jake having any ties to shazam, It really does make one think if he'll take over in sm4.

Yeah, like I say -- the more I hear, the less I think we will see this team work on another Spidey film.
Again, sorry for the lack of backup for my earlier post . . . you will just have to trust me.

Personally, I would much rather see a Spider-Girl film than a Spider-Man 4 film with a different cast. A different cast would "break the spell" for me. Too jarring. I think a Spider-Girl film would be cool, IMO.

I say no to Spider-Girl, all female superhero movies fail...
I rather have a Spidey 4 with a different cast in like 5 to 7 years. |

Haha, I don't mind Halle Berry is hot enough for me to forgive her for that movie, it was surprisingly better than some other female powered action movies. lol

I'm very interested to see how Kirsten version of MJ this time around will be different (Now that Gwen is in the picture) . Prehaps will see the comicbook counterpart Readhead actress, Supermodel wife of spidey .
I hope so .

I honestly think Spider-Girl could do well if they keep the persona of Mayday intact. There aren't any female superheroes in movies that are self-deprecating, sarcastic, and unsure of themselves. They're always the best at what they do, badass, and nothing but sexuality. Hence their lack of depth.

I guess they've dedcide to keep that part of the story out of the novel (very similar like in The BATMAN BEGINS novel "Where it doesn't reveal Ducard is Ra's Al Gul" . Or in the SUPERMAN RETURNS "Where it doesn't reveal Jason is Sups Son" .)
