I guess it's going to make King Kong alittle more longer. In my opinion I probly couldn't stand it. But thats some good news though.

Why the hell Jackson!?
We already bought your lacklustre first edition. And people say Lucas is a money grabber. Jackson is as much a greedy guts as Lucas! What does this extended ver. include as in extra scenes? |

You call it money grabbing but its really genius how they can get you to buy it anyway. I myself said the same words when th ring special editions came out. What a money grabber but i finally gave in for i wanted to see the impovements to the movie as a movie collector. So yes i gave into buying it. Same thing with Star Wars. While i liked teh old trilogy look better to Star Wars. Pete Jacksons special edition extended dvds are alot better then the theator release. I also am a film commenatary nut. Thats wha i looke for in certain movies on extended dvds.

Why are people surprised?
The same thing happened with all of the LOTR flicks...

the movie was already longer than it should've been. dunno if I can stand to watch an extended version of that.
if I hear about one extra minute of Jimmy, I'm buying this just to burn it.

1. How could you NOT see this coming? Stevie Wonder could see that coming. 2. "We already bought your lacklustre first edition." Im sorry? Did he hold you at gunpoint and demand that you bought his film? And if you thought it was 'lacklustre' why the **** did you buy it? |

I hope Wal-Mart will carry the limited edition giftset along with the 3-dsic set. I really want the giftset, but I don't think wal-mart will have it.

Worldwide: $549,216,896 - Budget: $207,000,000 - Marketing: $???,???,??? = > $342,216,896. The marketing was definately heavy, so in the end, it made about the same amount of money as its budget give or take. That's horrible considering this was supposed to be one of the biggest grossing movies of all time. |

"meh its not a bad thing...its just i hate it when I feel like i've 'caved in'- like i should have known to wait..............." Oh and did PJ force you at gunpoint to suck his dick? No. It was on your own accord. You wanted him.... Like Sam wanted Frodo. Grow up you pretentious a-hole. Upon repeated rewatchings I found it to be over long and Ann to be an exceptionally boring lead. I loved it, however on the big sxcreen. Possibly the best part is the dino battle and the visuals....also the emotive ending. Good ending. Although, not overly satisfying. Last edited by arachnid-guy; 07-19-2006 at 01:44 PM. |

I'm guessing only people who loved the movie will buy this, while the rest don't actually HAVE to buy it, but hey I could be wrong.
In any case, damn the makers of this travesty for giving us a longer version! *shakes fist*

Don't get me wrong, I love the movie and own the DVD, but I believe you could make it better by cutting 45 minutes.

Everybody loved this movie when it came out and it was huge
.And seriously, how is Jackson a money-grubber or anything? Tons of movies have special editions. I've seen many DVD sets with less than that for more money. |
