The Riddler. But does he resemble the Joker too much? The witty, menacing personalites are very similiar so would it make sense to put him in a possible third sequel?

Riddler would definately add a lot of action for Batman to a sequel.
Unfortunately I think they are going more for the KAPOW! villians so the younger fans can see Batman kick a$$ instead of using his skills, gadgets and mind to get out of the situtations the Riddler was so fond of trapping him into. They could spin it though if he was teamed up with a more physical villian. But I definately wouldnt want to see them change him to a fist thug. I liked the Riddler too, and sadly, I liked him because of the very reasons I doubt they will use him

The Penguin is going to be in the second... so he's a KAPOW! physical character?

so Penguin and Maroni and Black mask are the other most likely villains right? Any chance they can even fit anyone else by BB3?

While I'm not that big of a fan of Riddler, he is one of those characters that would fit excellently in a Nolan Batman movie. Honestly, I'd be pretty surprised if he isn't included in the third film.
And no, when he's not characterized as a camply cluester, the Riddler really isn't anything like Joker, and since I'm sure a Nolan adaptation would be a serious one, we really don't have to worry about those comparisons, I think.

The Riddler is not supposed to be all Joker-ish, as he was played in Batman Forever. While he can be witty, he also has put Batman through some extreme mind games, and that would fit well in the Nolan-verse. He's very...mysterious.
In Batman Forever, the Riddler was more of an inventor and trickster, trying to be as smart as possible. He barely even used any riddles on Batman. The reason why the Riddler is so great is because he can stump anyone with his insane riddles...EXCEPT the Batman. He could definitely work well, but it's a shame he won't be used.

Make him a mad bomber or serial killer who loves riddles. Best way to take the character in Nolan's world.

Riddler is a must for Nolans Batman universe. i think he'd fit perfectly. i cant definitly see him. However, i dont think he'll be in the 3rd, because the 3rd will most likely feature Two Face, and the whole Riddler/Two Face gimmick has been done before. i think they'll be used in seperate movies.

I like Jeff Loeb's Riddler from Dark Victory the best. He was the guy that always got beat up for information.

no. the Riddler was witty and wore question marks. the Joker just likes to play in ladies makeup.
