Just a few changes is all that's needed for the suit imo.

Make the suit a little brighter, get rid of the chest plate and make it flat, keep the belt, cause I thought it was a nice change and rise the neck line a little bit more up. Just a few minor changes is all. I like the SR costume personally, it's just I would have liked to see the suit like in the comics.

Yes! change the suit from looking like a 19-******y-50's style.
update Chris Reeve's version!

Yes, that's one of the things that I want to see change in the current suit.

My mistake. Not seeing Superman Returns for such a long time again, I forgot that the neck line was fine. For some reason, I thought it was lower. Watching the movie on Cinemax last night, It was just fine. It doesn't need changing at all.

well, I disagree... personally, it needs to be lowered and straightened out. It literally looks like it's choking him

The SR costume sucked. Too dark, too rubbery. Looked like a goddamn Halloween costume being worn by a high school jock.

They only have to make the S a tad bigger and less 3-D, brighten all the reds/yellows/blues . . . then I would be happier with it than I am now. That's probably too much to ask of Singer & Team.

whats wrong with bryan singer, is that he is an idiot and a moron

much like the other morons dougherty and harris

and also mingenbach

all morons

Only morons could change supermans colours of red and blue to maroon and blue.

Amazing, absolutely amazing

morons

even a 5 year old could design a better suit

A suit should not decline in standards like the superman returns suit did

it should improve

Singer and his team had all the materials and money to make the best suit and they failed.

They failed at something which was impossible to fail.

All they had to do was go and get a Reeve Superman suit.

Update the materials. Slightly darken the red (for those few who seem to have an allergic reaction to supermans proper red color)

and hey presto, Bob's your uncle and Fanny's your aunt

instead, we get a tight neckline with stupid toy belt and a weak looking superman

No upper body whatsoever.

All they had to do was hire Michael Jai White, tell him to show Brandon Routh how to make his physique the same as his, and hey presto we would have superman on screen

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FkYZmPG4es4

but no, we get a pansy looking superman

The better question is this... Why are stitch lines the #1 people add to modern day costumes when "redesigning" them? IMO Stitch lines are the new black rubber, a simple quick fix for modern day redesign. And MY GOD what have they done to the Flash in that pic? If thats how he appears in Smallville I'm so glad I stopped watching 4 years ago...

oh, i agree, that style, doesn't really work for superman

here's an attempt at fixing it up, removing the two tone, the stitching...
(did this kinda quick, just as example, so, is not that good)
