But, if your into those flick.....you'll like it I guess.

I mean it's just a genre. It's like a horror film, or a comic book film, or a sports film..........anyone wh's not into that genre could practically say the same thing some of you are. It's a genre, and it's for certain niches. That's how I see it.

So again like I said if they force it on you through the commericals, change the channels. These types of films have been around since the days of "Wild Syle" "Fresh" "Breakin" to "Dirty Dancing" and "Footloose" and "Flashdance". The genre is pretty straightfoward and affective for every generation that gets their version. If cats aint feeling it, you can always change the channel *Shrug*

King of 80's teen flicks. I guess the closest there was to a mid-90's equivalent of him was Kevin Willamson (Wrote, develop or produced projects like Dawson Creek, Teaching Ms. Tingle, I Know What you Did Last Summer, Scream, Felicity and various similar stuff here and there)

I'm sick of all these movies. Now, if they made movies about a hip-hop Gorilla that went around solving mysteries......

If it doesn't have Patrick Swayze, dance themed movies just suck ass.

Except for the fact that the dance movies from the 80's were good, both in story and dancing.

I highly doubt that. There's really nowhere else to go musicwise unless it's like mixing Jazz with Country and Techno, which would suck.

That's fine, Show business is still a business as much as it is art. Granted a lotta of these movies are over-generic and have cliched dialouge, I dont suspect that's going to bother a 14 year old or whatever. I dont watch them, my little sister might or something but I've got other alternative choices of movie entertainment
I would have thought you guys would know that by now. I understand if its because films seem over-marketed and in your face but your not being forced to watch these films, focus on the flicks you have an intrest in and despite the precieved lack of quality entertainment out there, there is still tons of alternatives there.
I say this cause the complacency towards these films is as cliched as the films themselves.
Well said.

Yeah, 'cause Flashdance was such a profound cinematic experience! Especially with the three separate dancers who had to stand in for Jennifer Beals, one of them being a MALE breakdancer in a wig!!

I am craving a Footloose remake with Frankie Muniz.

And yeah. They suck. Worse yet is my girlfriend's a dancer so she feels almost obligated to see every. Single. One.
