I agree though pacing is a culprit here.
Right? its only RIGHT when you ignore films sensibilities and the brilliance of a director such as Singer. Brilliance for comics doesnt mean there can be no other brilliance for film.

Innocence can be ignorance.

Besides i don't think this movie was ment for kids to begin with.

That and i have no idea how old Rothman's kid is.
I don't know how old she is either, my uses of the term "young girl", may of been poor choice of words, my point had nothing to do with her age, as a girl, a teenage, a young lady, or a woman, she would still have a more in-depth an real perspective on the situation

What does this have to do with what im talking about?
I think Singer was doing great. I also think Singer wouldn't have gone with the choices the movie made. Singer was setting up for a stronger tougher Rogue. IMO that's what i got out of it but X3 reversed all that.

How so?
It seems to me like the daughter of a Rich Studio Head like Tom Rothman wouldn't really know much about the real world. She probably had one thing in mind. Bobby is cute and it would be cute if they end up together, because that's probably as far as her perspective goes.

Just an obvious assumption .

So instead of the comics, Singer is the source material that Ratner didnt live up to... there are many ways to diss a film other than comics... sorry i forgot lol

I like Rogue taking the cure and losing her powers- if I were in charge of X4, I would take advantage of it by having her remain an outcast: she's now the one human in a mansion filled with mutants, so play off of her being that minority and have some younger students talk about her behind her back, not listen to her the way they do the other x-men, and so on and so forth.

BUT I would add a twist to her arc in X4 as well- I would have Beast be paying close attention to her in his lab, studying blood samples and stuff as much as possible, having him stress the point that her type of mutation could very well nullify the effects of the cure, that nothing is for certain. At the closing of the film, I would have her and Colossus guarding the mansion, and have it attacked- Colossus gets knocked out, she runs to check on him (thinks she's human**), and when all hope seems lost for the younger students and Rogue has a hundred and one things going thru her head, she jumps in with a bit of super-strength and saves the day (think the revelation of the kid in Supes Returns)- leading to her being accepted by those younger students that kind of ousted her.

On a side note, I would introduce Gambit and have him be very progressive and the only one accepting of Rogue early on in the film, building the way towards the two of them being an item by the end of the flick. Bobby wouldn't be comfortable with her not being a mutant, and when he realizes at the end that she's "homosuperior", it would be bittersweet for him not accepting her because she would be with Gambit at that point.

But hey, that's just me.

I like the idea of having Rogue still outcast, and working up from there. Having a low-key Gambit is not too bad of an idea either.

I still like the idea of Rogue taking Multiple Man's powers and her clones taking other mutants powers. Rogue could be an army all by herself.

That would be...lol. Dramatic. Would definitely like to see her absorb SOMEONEs powers at least...for more than like a couple of seconds in the danger room. Absorb someone's powers and use them to kick ass. How about she takes Bobby's powers, and uses them...as he watches, awe-struck, at how incredible she is...

But for the realies...I wanted to see Rogue take Storm's powers in the DR and fly around and zap things. I thought it was cool when Collossus lent her his powers. But I really wanted to see Rogue take Jugg's powers in the final battle and run into him head on and send him through some walls. I also think it would be weird for her to take Angel's powers...that would hurt.

^^lol. What about Mystique? She absorbs her powers, transforms into Kitty, goes up to Bobby and tries to tempt him to see what he would do. Hahah, just kidding.
