He reminds me more of a Jimmy Olsen-type.

I know where your coming from, I debated with myself if he could physically look the role or not, and then I went and saw Half Nelson last weekend in which he had the darker hair and it was slicked back from time to time, and while his face is smaller than Reeve or Welling, it works. Gosling would have to wear his hair down as Clark Kent though, which Im not opposed to, my Clark would wear his hair down. Clark always should have worn his hair down, but thats a different conversation.

Gosling is a very slender man, and would need to gain about 25 pounds of muscle, and even then probably use a padded suit. Gosling stands 6'1, which is good enough in my eyes, and even then camera trickery could add a couple inches.

I'll admit that Im looking for acting chops, not looking to find some model turned actor to play Superman like most people on these boards. As an actor, I feel Gosling would do for the role of Superman, and in particular Clark Kent, what Christian Bale did for Batman.

Brandon worked because he had the right face that could easily blend into the background with glasses as Clark and be made to look like Superman without them. Gosling is small yes, but aside from that his features are pretty distinguishable, it wouldnt be easy.

Anyway, it would really suck for anyone making a restart at this point in time. It's nearly close to impossible to find anyone better suited for the role than Brandon.

Personally I would think Gosling would make a better Flash. He has the personality and slender build to make it work as Bart.

The problem is easy to fix. Simply have Gosling wear his hair down as Clark Kent at the Daily Planet. Thats something that should have always been done IMO. It would help him hide.

I have aloy of casting choices that havent been mentioned around here and would draw a raised eyebrow, but when it was said and done would create an excellent film, with the right script and Director of course.

IMO he bears a slight resemblence to Reeve . I should make it clear that this is the Candian actor Seann Gallegher . There is an irish actor with the same name who looks nothing like Reeve . I'll keep searching for pics of him to show you guys.

imo the goal isn't to find an actor who looks like Reeve to play Superman . Now he looks a bit like Reeve to me, but I picked him because I think he could play the part . He was born in 1976 if I remember correctly so he's older then Routh . In the last film I saw him in he looked older then that pic. Like said it was the best one I could find. That pic was posted in 2003, but it could be a much older head shot.

If I were doing the movie: First I like to say that it would be an orgin film because I didn't much care for the orginal orgin movie. It would have a Lex Corp owning Lex Luthor and he would not being an idiot who works with even bigger idiots. He would be a hansome smart rich bastard who is calm cool and collected. Clark wouldn't be a really nerdy goofball, he would just be a normal unasuming guy. Lois would have lots of spunk but still be lovable and Jimmy would be a moderen nerdy type kid (no bowtie maddness) who looks up to Clark. The movie would be set in the now and would have a 160million dollar budget. The story wouldn't be about any lame ass land deals. I don't know what it would be about exactly but Metallo would be in it so Superman could really (finally) get down with a powerful supervillain. The tone would be light but serious, like the first Spider-Man movie.
