Dark Angel: The Official Thread

Well its been a while since the last episode of Dark Angel aired. I miss this show greatly and figures that i would at leats try and regan people to have a little intrest into the series again.

The storyline first starts out about a unknown govermant called Manticore. Manticore begins to create weapons for the military. These weapons are turned out to be kids. Eack on has inhanced stregth, eye visison, speed, intelligence, the whole nine wards. All these chilidren are identifyied as the X-5s. The main charater is about a girl named max. Who she and a whole other 12 X-5s broke out of this complex. Years later, a Eletric magneic pulse struck out in settle making the world lamost destroyed. Max lives in settle. She begins to steal things from the few welthy people in settle and get money from it and basically to try and find the others who are like her. She then finds a man named Logan. Logan also another charater in the show called Eyes Only who goes onto the a broadcast and talks about basically manticore and trying to get freedom. Max then fins ou that logan knows how to find Max's 12 other "brother and sisters". So max and logan begin working together. This is only a very small part and basic part of the storyline.

I just started watching about the first episode and 9 episodes in the second season. This show kicked ass, but unfortuantly it got canceled because of the fact that 911 happen, which made the show stop its apoclypic storyline. And also due to the fact that Joss Whendon had to be a idoit and invited Firfly ( the most stupid show on earth, in my opinion.) Dark Angel is basically what introduced Jessica Alba. Dark Angel is still remebered by loyal fans of the series. After the show got cancelled and game came out under the same name and storyline of the show. The game didnt do to well but is favored but many fans of the show, including me. If anyone wants to watch a episode I will post them up on here, if thats allowed. I think it is? The episodes will usually be brken up into 6 parts but since the piolet its about a hour, the piolet will be broken up into 13 parts. Loading isnt a issue with me. This requries NO DOWNLOAD. From the fact that its on YOUTUBE. Have fun watching!

Update: Sorry about this but Youtube isnt working at the moment. Its popbley updating so I will post up the WHOLE first episode of dark angel tommorrow at around 1:00 pm american time.

NEW NEWS!!!!- You can now check out Dark Angel on SciFi. Of course these are reruns. Dark angel is on every monday at 7:00 pm. There will also be a Marthon of Dark Angel to go on for 15 hours on September 4th.

Dark Angel currently has a four-hour marathon on Sci-Fi every Monday, running 7-11pm. Also, DA plays on SiTV--Latino channel I get on Dish Network. It's one of their english programs.

didn't fox and ms alba get suied after she acidently broke amy dimas'[lita] neck during the filming of the season2 finale maybt thats part of why D.A. was cancelled

UPDATE: I will update this thread evry day with a topic, merchandice and now on every monday i will talk about every episode that goes up on scifi. Well now that a few of you watched the first episode , i will update each epiosde every other day. So tommorw will go up episode 2 of the first season. No no one sued anyone. Dark angel was cancelled for a low budget from the second season because it changed its airing days and its apocolypitic storyline. Thats why Jessica went on to movie projects instead of returning to TV.

Well I hope shes in a another action movie where she actually uses her Dark angel skills. But I would like her to be the star and not like she was in fantastic four and sin city.

I enjoyed watching the first season of Dark Angel, but never watched the second season during it's first run because FOX put it on Friday and I don't tend to stay at home to watch TV on Friday's. I really don't think 9/11 had anything to do with the shows decline, it was just another crappy scheduling decision by FOX. I've been watching the show on Sci Fi on Monday's, and watching the second season, the 9/11 argument really doesn't work, the show is following the next logical step on the story. It's a fun show, but was fighting an uphill battle from the begining and you should be happy it got two seasons and didn't get totally screwed over like Firefly (in my opinion a much better show than Dark Angel).

you might be right but mist action shows were ordered toned down in the wake of 9/11

I'm watching the second season now and it doesn't look very toned down, I'm sure most of the episodes I'm watching were shot before 9/11, but they could've edited the violence. Plus we're talking about FOX, the network that premiered an action show about a counter terrorist unit that featured a plane explosion less than a month after 9/11. Using 9/11 as an argument why the show was cancelled doesn't work, FOX buried it, like it buried Titus, The Family Guy, Fastlane, John Doe, Firefly, etc....

"Dark Angel" is frightening to some because it shows that terrorists could actually damage the american economy so badly that it could cause a depression(which almost happened in the year after 911!)
