Yep. Cyclops officially has the "iconic" backstory of the X-Men.

I suppose it's for new readers' sake, there is a lot more ground in the market to cover as far as Marvel's concerned.

I got a Chinese blog for the X-Men (actually mainly about Scott), and I have to explain his background to newbies every now and then, now I'll just ask them to read this instead of asking them to pick up an aged-old issue through ebay.

Hello All
I was digging thru some old hard drives, and i found a bunch of comic book scans. Amongst them was this gem of a panel indicating that Cyclops can Pulverize Adamantium.
Just thought i'd share this with everyone. It's the yellow box on the right. It reads:
"Cursed with uncontrollable Optic blasts capable of PULVERIZING ADAMANTIUM"
