I haven't seen this movie in years and finally saw it again the other day on TV. It's not the greatest animated movie, but I really like it then...and I still have a fondness for it now. It's a nice change of pace with the MILLION talkin animal animated movies hollywood puts out. I wish they made more animated movies like this in hollywood...too bad movies like this don't do well.
After seeing this movie years ago, I always wished Fox would do a Silver Surfer animated movie like this.... Oh well

I enjoyed this flick, and had a really great scene in a cluster of ice comets, really good stuff.

I really didn't like it much. The premise was interesting, the animation was good, but the script was quite poorly written, I thought. I'd barely say it was anything more than mediocre.

I didn't think it was all that either. I thought it was pretty average though the animation wasn't all that bad.

I really like this flick actually
. Great visuals and a solid story. It was ahead for it's time , but then again i don't think there will be a succesful mature animated movie for americans audiences for a couple a years. Also , didn't ILM animate that scene in the Ice field ?

It was and American try at Anime. Quite good if you ask me. I think a Live action version would be wicked!

It's cost 75 million to make but the domestic gross was just 22 million. They later took over Blue Sky Studios and success with ICe Age 1 & 2 and ROBOTS

I liked this movie.
It wasn't the best movie, but it wasn't bad at all. The best part of the movie is that amazing song by Electrasy called "Cosmic Castaway". *Listens to the song right now*

I saw it on DVD a few years back - on a whim. Ended up liking it a lot.
Decent story. Likeable characters. The quality of the animation was spotty. Some scenes were really well done. Others looked rushed. But I was pleasantly surprised at how enjoyable it was. |
