well, i live in montreal.. was a metro stop away in fact. everyone i know from the school is fine which is a good thing. but one person is dead.. about 20 are injured, some critically in that lot. it as contaned within half an hour but so many students calimed that there were more than one shooter so it took awhile to establish that there was one. it could have been worse of course.. though its ****ing terrible to see something like this happen in a city as culturally diverse as this one is.

also note that the shooter was sporting a trench coat/ cape of some sort.. he's been shot and killed by the police... he had no apparent target as so many were injured as he fired randomly in the cafeterium and atrium area which gives a clear view of both first and second floors..

Apparently the shooter had this huge thing with how he felt that society in general looked down on his kind. He wanted to kill some people just for the thrill of it and die in a hail of bullets himself in the process.

The whole "games and movies are responsible" crap has already begun to spread in interviews which is really pathetic because you'd think that they would get it by now.


And now just because that retard couldn't off himself in private, I'm going to have to spend the next six months getting harassed by cops wherever I go because I happen to wear a trenchcoat!

The gunman who killed an 18-year-old student in a shooting rampage at Montreal's Dawson College on Wednesday died of a self-inflicted wound, said a spokeswoman with la Sûreté du Québec late Thursday afternoon.

Preliminary autopsy results performed on the body of 25-year-old Kimveer Gill confirm he sustained two bullet wounds during a shootout with police: one in the arm, from a policeman's gun, and the other a self-inflicted shot to the head, said Chantal Mackels.

The revelation is a major step forward in the police investigation into the events surrounding the deadly attack at the college.

Montreal police continued to interview hundreds of eyewitnesses Thursday as they piece together a timeline to explain what happened at Dawson College.

Anastasia DeSousa was killed and 19 people were injured before Gill, a self-described loner from Fabreville, turned the gun on himself, said police.


Gunman said he was 'ready for action'

In his profile on vampirefreaks.com, a website devoted to Goth culture, Gill called himself "Trench," and wrote: "You will come to know him as the Angel of Death."

"Work sucks … School sucks … Life sucks … What else can I say?" he wrote. "Metal and Goth kick ass. Life is like a video game, you gotta die sometime."

A photo gallery accompanying the profile includes pictures of Gill brandishing a Beretta CX4 Storm semi-automatic rifle. In the last seven photos, he is wearing a black trench coat and holding the rifle. The caption below the last photo reads, "Ready for Action."

Sadly students from U of Winnipeg have a greater chance of getting stabbed or shot in the area (downtown transients & West End gangs) around the university than inside.
