I gotta say, I was impressed with the young actor, and of course Irons rules. But one gotta wonder if a dragon-centered movie can be successful.

i liked the first book okay... the story was pretty generic to anyone who's ever played an rpg, it's obvoius the author borrows from alot of (pretty geeky) sources, like star wars and lotr and the like, and it wasn't terribly well written (in my opinion) but the second book is a lot better, i'm about 50 pages from finishing it.
but, whatev, i'll check out the movie, i go see the movies of all the books i've read.

Wasn't really interested in the book, but this doesn't look too bad.

I thought the boy was called Aragon and then continued to think it was a crappier version of LOTR. I thought it was slightly different until there was the 'big battle' at the end.
I suppose I'll see for myself.

I like adventure movies but the previews looked like LOTR's light. Something just didn't click with me, it looked kinda cheesy and I'm not sure about the Dragons design.

Saw it and I wasn't so amazed.
CGI looks not bad, but I was expecting something greater from both WETA and ILM. Eragon as I said before will be something like Stormbreaker, but with greater quanity of vissual effects.

Gah. Looked awful. Only thing that interested me was Sienna Guillory. Maybe I go see this just the sake of her.

I dunno about this, the interest seems low when compared to LOTR or even Narnia. I suspect the whole fantasy epic thing is close to hitting the saturation point.

Hey, this stuff beats the living hell out of that Narnia horse s***. It's got Malkovich, PLUS!! It's got Jeremy Irons, PLUS!! It's got hot chicks who kick ass, plus(okay, maybe, I'm just looking forward to some medieval cheesecake and could care less if they can kick any buttocks. Crucify me). As long as the dragon doesn't remind me too much of that fire-breathing chick dragon from the Shrek flicks. The therapy is too f***ing expensive.

Malkovich = was also in ART SCHOOL CONFIDENTIAL and JOHNNY ENGLISH.
Irons = was in Dungeons and Dragons which this trailer reminds me of. Really, from this trailer the movie looked like a combination of Dragonheart and Dungeons and Dragons. I don't think that's a good thing.
