I think Iron Man by black sabbath needs to be in the trailer and movie. 'Iron Ma-an rides again' it could be played to Iron Man doing all new state of the art moves.

I like the idea. I think the beginning famous guitar riffs should be played, no singing parts. Those riffs have something about them that make me think of power and iron and metal{literal not music metal}.

You're a ****ing idiot. You've obviously never listened to the entire song. If you had, you'd know that Iron Man killed everyone that he once tried to save, and that his boots are made of lead. There's no way that lead could withstand the rigors that Iron Man (Marvel's) feet have to endure. ****ass.

NO! NO! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Yes the song is a giggle and all that but come on. This song has absolutely NOTHING to do with ANYTHING. And any use of it at all would just be juvenile and corny. Dont they DARE ever use it. |

Anyone remember the Iron Man musical that Pete Townshend wrote, back in the late 80's?
![]() It was based on an English novel "The Iron Man" which was the basis for the animated film "The Iron Giant".

I like "Iron Man" but it would just be too obvious and just draw attention to itself.

I would like to hear Iron Man by Black Sabbath in the movie somewhere, as long as it's subtle.
I thought it would be neat to slip it in, perhaps, at the beginning and maybe have a paper delivery boy walk past Stark's mansion, delivering his round, whilst listening to Iron Man on his Walkman, and we hear it very softly. Or as Tony's in war, we hear it played in an Army truck as it drives by. I think it's too obvious a song to feature prominently but if it was done subtly, almost comically, then it would work. |

I'd like to hear it before he becomes Iron Man. Just to be ironic (har har). Like maybe driving to wherever he's making that deal/delivery in the middle east(since they're using the new origin).
Another good use is maybe...I dunno, a Stark industries show for the public to show off Iron Man...It'd be even funnier if it was this little band playing it instead. Like a band you'd hear at a college football game or something...Or if the shows at night, this fancy smanshy orchestral band.

The riff for sure. We don't need Ozzy's lyrics though.

I like you're thinking. My idea was for Tony to be watching CNN or some news broadcast - and since every big news item now has it's own logo and theme music - the station would play some knock-off version of the guitar riff before going into the story. Then show Tony shaking his head slightly or rolling his eyes.

I suspect they may get some new band to do a cover of it for the soundtrack, only with lyrics pertaining to the character.

I just want to see a scene, at the end of the trailer...
Tony, sitting at his desk, props his feet up on the desk, starts humming the rif. Hmmm, hmmm, hm hm hm.... Maybe use the song as his inspiration to call himself Iron Man??
